Oh I hadn't noticed that it's a hard-sided popup! That's a great idea, I've never seen anything like it around here

Of all the research I did it seems there are limited to no issues. TM have the front and backs extend out w the use of a torsion bar lift mechanism springs. Thr torsion bar system has a lifetime warranty.completely uninformed question:
does this type of pop up trailer have long-term durability issues like you'd see on a fixed trailer with slide-outs?
This particular brand of trailer, completely the opposite, they are well engineered and built.completely uninformed question:

even well built slide-outs require maintenance or replacement with a lot of use. since this is sliding also - granted, up and down - I wanted to ask. This particular brand of trailer, completely the opposite, they are well engineered and built.
We plan to get an Anderson WD hitch although it handled well with winds on I-10 in TX and NM. We'll feel safer once installed. I have the standard 4K package from Ford on my Maverick. Are you using a WDH (Weight Distribution Hitch) ?
Even though FORD may not recommend, I towed a 2619 with a Honda Pilot (Honda did not recommend WDH) it made a massive difference in handling characteristics.
What type of brake controller have you installed? Even if your state may not require, I would have one.
Enjoy your new camper.
I think the (CYA) "Not recommendation of WDH" is the additional torque transferred to any unibody vehicle. Are you using a WDH (Weight Distribution Hitch) ?

We brought it back to AZ 1,000 miles plus from TX via I-10 & 17. Lots of crosswinds the first day but no concerns 18 - 19 mpg. 2nd day limited winds and averaged about 22 mpg from Tucson to Sedona.Hi Alan,
Have you had a chance to road trip yet? If so, how has the trailer worked out?
I've been considering a Trailmanor as a future purchase but was curious how the Maverick would do after loading up? Thanks.
If you go to the FB Trailmanor club you'll see many of the folks have trailers that are 15 - 20 years old.completely uninformed question:

Right now we are not but planning to get an Anderson Hitch type system. We've read great things about them. It seems to be 50/50 to use a system on these low profile trailers. Ours towed great. Are you using a WDH (Weight Distribution Hitch) ?
