If you are ok with the slippery hard mats, weather tech style are durable and reliable. I went with the Tux mats, feel like padded carpet under you feet but tough. I’ll never go back.

TuxMats.

It's not even a contest anymore. Once you get them you'll never get anything else. The knock offs of the same material don't have the same coverage and neither do any of the other brands. The harder plastic ones have gotten cheaper and cheaper so you are just paying for the name now days. Plus, they leave tons of gaps in coverage and you are constantly having to remove the liners to vacuum underneath and in between those gaps. TuxMats just covers it all. As others said, those cheaper made plastic ones also get slippery. Some brands offer a more rubberized one, but again, you are compromising on the coverage.

After having one set of TuxMats for a previous vehicle, as long as they offer them in the same material and amount of coverage across vehicles, I'll get them every time and I'll gladly pay for that name brand as they are the only ones worth doing so.

If your goal is to save money and you don't care about actual coverage, there are some brands that offer a similar material. Personally I'd rather recommend those than any other of the harder plastic variants, or just get an actual rubber mat. Rubber is getting harder and harder to come by now days, and it's expensive too.

My truck came with the Ford rubber mats but I just ordered some TuxMats because I do not like the Ford ones.

Hey Mav. family, new Mav. owner here and I am looking for a nice but cheap-ish all weather floors mats. I live in the mountains and the snow is starting to melt so that means mud session. after 48 hrs of having it the once that came with are not ideal. witch i knew was the case.

ideally they would have sides to keep in the snow and mud.
so post your recommendations ...
cheers
D
I got these Husky Weatherbeaters from Amazon for $125, perfect fit:

I was looking at those too.
how do they feel under feet?
Do they have a crazy plastic smell?
can you post a pic of how they look in your car?
I have posted several photos of the mats. They are a bit dirty but I do clean the truck on a regular basis. It is my daily .

the more i look into the Tuxmats the more I like em. At 1st i did not like the look but it's starting to grow on me. they are in the top 3 for sure.

just got the truck just pick up a tail gate pad for the mountain bikes and need a good Tonneau cover. so it's all about getting quality but not blowing $$ either. it's a fine balance.

thanks for your feedback. I have read a few other post from you about these floor mats, you're a big fan. :)

haha yea. It's pretty common from those of us that have TuxMats to give them high praise. You'll see it often on these posts. Pricey, but they are great. I was like you too and wasn't sold on them but once I did get them it was like someone turned a lightbulb on for me lol.

I think SmartLiners are the knockoff ones that have the same material? They would be the budget option I would go with, just not the hard plastic versions.

TBH, there are a lot of good options for the rears if you wanted to save money on the back set because maybe you don't use it as often. I bought my truck used and it came with Husky Liners and while I'm not a fan of them, they work fine for me in the back of the truck. The coverage is pretty much the same from numerous brands as far as that goes, but most just don't offer the tabs to keep them flush and that hard rubber ends up deforming over time or leaves gaps. Save your pennies where you can though ;)

this might be a stupid question but are you guys leaving in you factory mats and adding these over top OR swapping them out?
Put my Husky WeatherBeater mats on top of factory mats on 2024 XLT Hybrid, (helps on road noise I think), great fit, great value,

I went with Tuxmat for front and back seats. After owning Weathertech in my F150 and Edge, I wanted something that looked clean after washing them. (you need to work on that Weathertech)

I only recently got busy and cleaned the front Tuxmat mats after about 18 months and 16,000 miles.

They cleaned up great and look brand new, not kidding, brand new. Even the little rubber heel pad on the driver's side cleaned up without a marked on it. I used Traeger spray grill cleaner (in the clear bottle) and a new soft bristle brush. Even my wife commented, wow they are really clean!

They fit really nice too, The front mats have tabs that fit under the door threshold and the center console to make a nice tight fit.

I could only find the front and rear set, but I think they are great. The most coverage up the sides in the front, and fit great in the back also.
Glad I sprung for them.

I've almost always bought the husky liners for my trucks and SUVs I currently have them in my F-150 and explorer but for my Maverick I think I'm going with the rough country front and rear liners.
