ended up finding some arctic claw tudded tires for good price.
same tires i had on the car for 4-5 winters they did really well. hoping the mav. will handle the same on the packed snow/ice/ fresh powder.
the main thing i wish about the mavs. is that they came in manual. so much more control...
thanks for the feedback everyone!
I am going to stick to studded tires. I drive over a steep mountain pass 5X a week about up to 10% grades.
the snow plows do a pretty good job most of the time keeping it clar of heavy snow but it packed snow/ice.
just the other day I was driving over in our...
2024 Hybrid BAP pkg
so I am in a debate with myself and a few friends. on what is better so me*
I live in a very snowy resort town where winter last from about oct. 31 to may.
on the mountain we average 400-500" of snow per year.
I drive 25 miles each way to work over a step mountain pass up...
well I am glad I did not wait. that is ugly. somehow it looks even more cheap and I bet the price went up too.
so glad I got my 24 XLT w/ BAP.
i thought about waiting but damn SOOO glad I did not.
IDK maybe that is just a street model added to the line up.
guess we will see.
how long did it take for your point to show up? do you see it in the app? if so where? just got a mav. so very new to this. :)
edit: i found it in the ford app under setting. fyi if anyone reading this.
about 3 weeks out from buying the mav. still no points will give it another few weeks.
yup I saw that it was not listed for the 2024 mav. not sure if they did not update there site or what? I believe the bed is the same no??
the switchback is a new model there older non try fold been around for a while. this would be an option if one needs to haul stuff on top of the cover.
I...
great thread. I am in the same boat. 24' XPT hybrid here. the thing is i want to carry mountain bikes in the bed over the tailgate witha bike pad.
want it to be pretty water/weather proof so I can carry work stuff. massage table cant show up with a cold wet table to my high end clients...
hmm looks like the prices went up to about the same as tuxmats.
maybe 10% cheaper, looks like i missed out.. did you get them on a huge sale or something?
this is a great thread!
my commute to work 5X a week is over a 10% pass. I was really bumped that the mav. was not a stick shift. for years i swore i would not buy a vehicle that was not.
anyway i am in my slow season so i have only been over the pass a cpl times and there not much snow and...
I have an older kuat transfer that I put in the Mav. Just to see how it goes.
had some errands to do in the next town over about 90mikes so I took the bikes in for there yearly tuneup.
Was a pretty strong head wend that day but I did notice a 5 mpg difference in mpg.
also got the Himal tale...
Hey Hey I guess it's a small Mav. world! glad to see you on here too.
man I keep going back n forth on these mats lots of love on here for them, many think there the best mod for the mav.
I wonder if they are city folks that dont deal with snow, mud and all manner of mess?
for the price...
So I was about to drop some coin on the tux mats for my hybrid mav.
then I was on on amazon reading reviews where someone posted a video where he says they have a huge flaw, they leak at the grommet where they attach to the floor.
anyone that this experience? is it true? I live in the snowy...
I like it more than I thought i would. it's cool this stuff is around.
I know nothing about the stuff other than I have seen some quick reels on FB or YT.
I got the BAP as I hated the orange and the ugly white/blue dash board, but in the back of my mind I thought maybe one could wrap it...
the more i look into the Tuxmats the more I like em. At 1st i did not like the look but it's starting to grow on me. they are in the top 3 for sure.
just got the truck just pick up a tail gate pad for the mountain bikes and need a good Tonneau cover. so it's all about getting quality but not...
