Where did you read this? No one on the MTC forums threads have claimed this yet. This would be awesome if true.
I've read a few threads with people saying their window stickers are actually showing pro trailer and such. Haven't actually seen the pictures yet. I'll have to search around to see if I can find those threads.

40K before taxes and fees, yikes! So much for the 19,995$ days.
You are right. The price is now in the vicinity of a F150. A demo XLT FX4 could possibly be bought at $45k plus taxes and fees. There are many STX trim for less than $40k. I couldn't see myself spend $40k for a little truck while a more capable truck is $45k.

Maverick is small and offered in Ruby red which is a nice color. I could see someone who likes small things in Ruby red be interested in this Maverick.

I bought my 2023 XLT with all the bells n whistles including the tow package for 30,300 a year and a half ago. Specked it out exactly the same for 2025 and it cost over 8K more.

Are you needing to daily a more capable truck for any reason? Me looking at this is me looking for a new vehicle ie. Basic car with hauling stuff, grocery stuff, furniture stuff, bicycle stuff. While being economical gas and such.

if I needed a larger truck I wouldn’t even look at this. This is just a new car to me that has some usefulness as a home owner

Interesting to see the knob layout for the lariat with 4k tow and no pro trailer or pro backup. There's been a few people who have gotten deliveries with the pro trailer and pro backup so they must have been early job 2 test runs.
No they haven’t.

People are confused but there is nobody who has taken delivery of a Maverick with pro trailer features because job 1 is still going on.

Could the front end be growing on me, or is it the color?
The flaps normally look like a graphic disguise for a prototype, but in this reflective red you can see the waterfall design.

Color preferences can change with age. As a young man, I hated any red. Hated it. My Maverick is HPR, and my wife's XC40 is red. Several of my Miatas and my RX7 were red. I think I went red in 1991 with the Miata and never looked back.
Hmmm!!! Did this preference change occur when your wife to be said yes??

Not really. I could afford $5k more on a spare car and it is much and feel safer in a F150. Safety alone is worth more than $5k. Not to mention a more powerful engine. The resale value should be better on a F150 and it should be easier to sell or trade. Once a tiny truck trend dies down, it will be interesting how the market will react. Maverick is a good truck but not at F150 price.

I can understand that, but ive never had large vehicles.

I started in a 1998 Subaru outback wagon- then a little Subaru outback forester- then 2013 scion tc lol. had a 2017 mustang, and 2024 gr86 (I sold the gr86 2 months later) I didnt love it. and AWFUL MPG. LIKE 18mpg cruising. it's insane.

So this maverick is going to be the largest vehicle ive ever owned basically, the mustang, was already a bit of a large car to me, kind of got annoyed driving it a lot and parking, as it was longer/larger. big fan of smaller to drive vehicles, im buying a 100k warranty minimum when I pick mine up as I want reliability to work out for me covered wise.

im giving my 2013 scion tc to my friends daughter, still drives and handles great.

Sure you could get an STX for around 45k but it’s much bigger, sucks down a lot more gas and insurance costs more. Now the stx is basically like an XL maverick trim. So that would be 28k vs 45k. Why does everyone compare the top of the line Maverick when it comes to talking about price. My 25 xlt has a price just over 34k.

Holy crap I am so tired of hearing this every time the 2025s come up.
A: they were never $19,995. Never. And even if they were the dealer would mark them up. That number was a marketing gimmick from ford to get people in the door because they knew they would never have to honor it.
B: it's not the same truck anymore. You're getting way more features in the base truck than the 22'-24's.
C: even if you weren't given any more than the old trucks, whomp whomp, they have a 6 month backlog. Clearly people are willing to pay more for more features.
D: even at 40k there is nothing competing in this segment. The Santa cruz sucks and the honda Ridgeline is massive and only comes with a v6.
E: At the base price it comes in, even the 2025 model, it's one of the cheapest new vehicles you can buy today. Let alone a hybrid awd "truck" that can tow 4000lbs. You're not buying it for the interior you're buying it for the utility. You guys are like "hurrdurr da interior sucks" Yeah no shit, it would be a $60,000 vehicle if it had a nice interior.

F150 is a much, much higher priced vehicle than the Maverick when you compare trim level to trim level. For example, the base price for Lariat F-150 is $65,000 and Lariat Maverick is $36,000.
