Sorry if I am confused as to where to post this. I have looked through most bleeping threads. We are waiting for production on our 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid but some of the threads on this reverse beep sound are confusing. If it is only outside the vehicle, I am good with that, but if it is inside the vehicle is there a way to disable it?

It is there to alert others you are backing up. All reverse driving on the Hybrid is done using the almost silent electric motor. There is no Reverse gear - the electric traction motor in the eCVT simply reverses direction when you put the truck in Reverse.

The speaker for the reverse warning and for the slow-speed forward driving is located in the front, under the driver's side front wheel well.
And if you simply disconnect it, you will get a constant warning notice on the instrument cluster that is not working.

It is physically on the "outside" of the passenger cabin, but you can hear it if you don't have the radio or HVAC blowing. It is not loud. My In-Laws have some abomination of a hybrid that I can hear backing up from inside my house with all the doors and windows closed.

Why would a reverse beeper be installed on the front of a vehicle?

I've long planned to install an SPDT relay to switch a 4-ohm, 5W resistor into the pedestrian alert circuit instead of the speaker so I can enter "stealth" mode late at night in my driveway. I even have all the parts, including Molex connectors so my mod will be 100% reversible. However, the PA speaker is in a relatively inaccessible spot up front on the driver's side, so this project will be a whole lot more trouble than it really should. For now, it's on hold, waiting for a larger block of time...

I wonder if there's a reason, Ford made the speaker basically inaccessible?

I don't think it's particularly to prevent tampering. It's only about as 'basically inaccessible' as most components on a modern vehicle.

I am not sure how noticeable or effective the forward sound is. Twice I have been following within 10 feet a person walking and when I finally went around, the person was startled. There was plenty of space between the person and my truck.
