Weird that it doesn't hyperflash on the outside.
My Fusion did that as well. I just got some small 10W load resistors marketed for motorcycles and they worked to solve it. The huge 50W ones most places will sell you are kind of ridiculous overkill for a mini-bulb replacement, in my opinion.

Add something similar to this. Takes two seconds, no splicing.

Reviews say they get super hot. Probably overkill.

Sure, you don’t have to get those, but that is the type of product you need to eliminate your issue. Hence why I said “something similar”.

The Alla LED lights ACT as a DRL when not using turn signals.
  • According to your link "Not designed for consistant working bulbs( Day time running light, fog light, headlight LED bulbs). Resistors may become very hot to melt plastic parts nearby."
  • Not sure I want something that may become very hot to melt plastic parts nearby.

So I don't have a Maverick yet, but those amber bulbs reflecting off the front blinkers or orange/amber even when off bothers me aesthetically. Figured I'd share this should be an option to fix that issue.

The proper size are the first ones, as factory are 4257NA, but you should be able to modify 3157s to fit in 4257.

Most all resistors get hot…it’s normal since it’s regulating voltage and all. Just mount them to metal and you’re fine
I guess the alternative when mounting to metal is to use some thermal paste or thermal pad on the backside when attaching it to metal. I bet that would cool them down quite a bit.


Or if we know what relay it is, a LED compatible one would work and then no resistor required (wrong vehicle, but get the idea).

Pretty sure most modern Fords don't use discrete flasher modules. It's usually controlled by the BCM/LCM.

Slice the little nubs off the sides
FWIW 3157 LED do not work with the tabs removed. The body is 2mm wider and will not fit into the lamp slot.

I'm guessing it may need a resistor or a LED compatible relay.
I believe the hyper flash on the dash is generated to give you an indication that you have a burent out bulb (due to low or no resistance)……when in reality the bulb is still functioning (led only)

So these do not light white as daytime driving lights?
Nope. Not on the Lariat. It’s possible they do on the XLT/XL but I can’t test that.
