Can I connect my G40 directly to the 12v battery and then plug the USB charging cable into the rear seat usb port? Will running the truck keep the G40 topped up and ready to boost the 12v battery when necessary or will it drain the 12v?

My 22 XLT hybrid must have a problem too, the few times it gets parked overnight in the garage (my Mach e normally stays indoors), the garage smells to high heaven of gasoline. Trip to the dealership coming up in the new year 😠

Dealer quoted 9 hrs to replace $400 cabin heater core……seem about right? Reason is too hard/sad/funny to believe…..left a candle on the dash close to defrost vents, melted and ran down into dash heater…..now HVAC controls dont do much…..
