Hey Bucksnort, if your near Memphis I highly recommend Auto Trim Design on Getwell RD. for your paint protective film and window tint. This forum has helped me a lot! I got someone's 22 AWD 4K LUK XLT at Landers South in October. Really like it. Check this out Slingshot and Bill Quattlebaum! A surprise to me too is my BONE BASE XL hybrid ordered on 9/16 is scheduled now for the week of 15 May! Zero options because I thought it would be the easiest to build, ordered early thought it would come quick then found out it probably would not be built as an XL is its own constraint as is being a hybrid. Now will it get bumped back out? We'll see.

Depends. Could be those were orders that dropped the spray-in since it was a constraint so much of last year, and didn't re-add it after Ford came out with the memo that it was now under capacity to the point the combo discount was instituted.
What combo discount are you referring to? I didn't add the spray in bedliner fearing it would delay my Maverick. But I haven't heard of a discount.

Because Ford ended up so under capacity on spray-in bedliners and the bed rails with moveable cleats Ford added a discount package to add both for just the $495 cost of the bedliner.

For a 22? Or for a 23? Neither the bed liner or CP360 are constrained in 23.......if you believe Ford.

EDIT: This is an image from January, but I believe only one or two of the numbers changed since then, and none changed to be "over capacity".

Oh mine was a 22 delivered last august. No idea what the constraints are right now.

But OP should drop everything that he could get aftermarket and stick with things he can only get from the factory. My dealer did my bed liner and did an awesome job and the hard trifold tonneau I bought was less than half the price of Ford's offering.

Good luck to you in getting the XL. I think a lot of them went to fleet customers!

I don't agree. Ford seems to be producing more of the expensive trucks. It is harder to get an XL than an XLT, or Lariat, from what I've seen on here.
There’s more money to be made with the Lariat and XLT, which is a big reason why Ford limited the production pool for the XL to only be about 15%, with a significant percentage of those undoubtedly going to fleet orders.

Ordered XLT-AWD-FX4 in Sept with a few add ons. Dealer calls today and says I need to remove the tonneau cover, spray in bed liner, splash guards and protective film, otherwise there is a 93% chance that I won't get the truck (Quite specific with that percentage thing). And he needs an answer quickly or I'll miss the boat (Of course). Sounds fishy to me. What do you think? Legit or Bull Pucky?

Mr. Ford is certainly trying to take the fun out of owning one. In the meantime, I just keep trucking along in a 21 year old Ranger. That ol' girl has been one fine truck.
Thanks in advance for any insight you may have on this issue.
It is a crap shoot. We have the XLT hybrid ordered and had only added the trailer hitch. We were told in Oct we needed to remove it to get built… well, now we have only the basic XLT and still nothing. But yet others that ordered the basic XLT after us already have theirs. Go figure. The only reason we want the hybrid is it is flat towable behind our motor home whereas the EB can not be. Our 22 order was never finalized by the dealer so we had to start all over in Sept for a 23.

My 2022 XLT...I ordered it with all the constrained items...splash guards, soft tonneau, ppf on front, sibl, sunroof, co-pilot 360,4k towing, etc.. It took a year, but I got it with everything I ordered. Dealers don't know shit from shinola.

Yes, I agree that is what is happening, but it is not fair to those that want an XL.

"Fairness" is something you should dispel when it comes to the entire ordering process for the Maverick. People who ordered back all the way in 2021 still haven't gotten theirs because of some hidden constraint or their dealerships didn't file COVP. Lots of people got screwed out of their private offers because their dealers couldn't be arsed to do COVP. 22 to 23 "rollovers" was anything but, since Ford left it up to dealers how to prioritize orders, so lots of people were effectively line cut when dealerships just coded everyone priority 10 without regards to their 22 rollover orders. So people who ordered in Sept 2022 were able to get their trucks way before even some people who ordered in 2021. That's not to mention the fact that Ford did nothing to prevent people from ordering multiple times from multiple dealerships, and of course the entire dealer allocations system that purchasers have zero insight into, so if you happen to order from a dealer who gets little to no allocation, sorry, you're left stuck in the wind.

And then of course there's the whole issue of scumbag dealers having the opportunity to fleece their customers with ADM after waiting all this time for their orders.

So if you're looking for "fair", you've come to the wrong place. The Maverick order process is anything but.

The spray in bedliner you should be able to leave (and get the cargo management system free with the discount for that combo). Everything else you're probably better off adding after delivery.
Did you get a Tremor grille or did you just paint it? Looks good.

My dealer recommended against ordering those things when I ordered in September so I took them off. Will do the spray in bedliner locally and think about the other stuff. It took right at 6 months for my Ecoboost Lariat to be built which I am happy with. Will be even happier if I get it in the next few weeks which Ford says I will.
