And you truly think that we bought a Maverick hybrid to have to go through the approximately 1,239 steps you just listed to have a vehicle we can trust that it isn't killing another battery?

I have a much better idea.

How about Ford releasing the permanent fix for the Maverick that they announced and promised one year ago they would have the fix to prevent deep sleep out by the end of quarter one of 2025, and later moved that date to the end of quarter two?

This isn't rocket science. A major auto manufacturer should be able to engineer a solution to this problem, if they have competent engineers.

I'll leave it at that.
I have a feeling the engineers each specialize in their own "pocket" of the code. Sometimes a small simple change in one pocket has a negative effect on an area of the code you wouldn't expect. That means the final code must be fully tested with every variance in mind. Where I work we call it regression testing and it's extensive to the fullest extent of the definition "extensive". Any change anywhere in the code triggers one of these tests to ensure the final release is deemed stable.
Consider the variables in the options you can order when you buy a vehicle. That's why they offer technology "packages" (to trim down the variables), EV or ECO, 4K, FX4, ect. Each has it's own needs from a software standpoint.
No, I don't work for an automaker. But I would think the testing protocol is the same. And it takes time to cover all the bases.

Is this a Hybrid thing? I was out of town from December 5th 2025 to January 9th 2026
I didn't do anything to my 2023 BS BL or my 2024 Lariat Tremor, both with the 2.0l ecoboost, both cars started right up with no issues reported

There is programming in the hybrid for sure that will put the vehicle in deep sleep. The vehicle should still start and run with no issues.

If you get a deep sleep message with other errors like dome lights not working and not being able to remote start within a short time period (I think someone stated that it will go to deep sleep after 2 weeks) take it to the dealer and have them fix the issues.

I had a ford app deep sleep issue 10 min after my truck would shut off. No app support, no dome lights, and no remote start. Dealer took some time but got my truck fixed up. It been in the single digits here for a while in Michigan and no issues with deep sleep even after letting it sit all weekend.

The dealerships have no "fix". They probably just charged your battery and sent you on your way, oblivious to the fact they didn't fix anything.

If it "takes time to cover all the variables", don't you think since 2022 is long enough for Ford to have done so?

That would be false. I had no dome lights, fordpass didn’t work, battery voltage drain.

I charged my battery before taking to my dealerships. I also ran my own voltage tests.

Something was draining my battery and now it is not and have regained all the functionality that I lost.

Not all dealers are the same, not all maverick truck issues are the same.

It’s in the owners manual and does not specify Hybrid or EB. Remote starting more than a set number of times without getting in and turning the truck on with the key or intelligent access start button has a hard limit to the number of attempts.

Thanks Steve, I think it was a simple question, would you like me to put the question in a form you would understand?
Don’t forget to check your blinker fluid levels while you are there. ;)

Common joke in automotive communities when someone asks these types of questions.

I doubt that is false since Ford has not yet produced a promised fix to prevent the chronic undercharging and discharging that happens constantly when the vehicle should be off. Did your repair receipt state specifically what your dealership did that you claim "fixed" your's?

It's the same type of question as how to disable the ASS (auto start stop) legit question , I'm merely asking if anyone knows how to remove the 2 remote start limitation, if you don't know, don't worry about it, no need to get snarky.

Are you saying my truck still goes only sleep mode, my dome lights don’t work after the car is shut off, and my remote start doesn’t work?

Something was shutting all that stuff off after my vehicle ignition was turned off. When I exited my vehicle after a drive and re opened my door the dome lights would not turn on. 10 min later I’d get a remote start deactivated and no ford pass communication. This would aslo happen with a battery charger on. I tested my battery with my works expensive battery tester and it passed all checks.

They made updates to software and modules and referenced by numbers and letters.

The symptoms I’ve been having have been solved and it took two trips to the dealership. It’s been months now and I have no issues.

I’ve looked at your Debbie downer posts on here. Might be time to trade your car in for a Honda.

I worked with my dealer and they got me a solution that is working. I’d tell everyone to do the same. If they can’t fix it that’s when I need paperwork saying “we can’t fix it”. Not all mavericks have the same issues and that’s very confusing to everyone. I guess I’m just lucky.

But no remote starts? - because yes that would affect an EB too.

Deep sleep mode after 14 days not driving - yes that should have affected you too. EB's get it also.
Do you use Fordpass app - did you open it to attempt something remotely?

By page 2 when the question was already answered a few times on page 1 - the jokes come out.
Common occurrence, usually expected on simple questions with quick answers already found in prior threads.
