When I use remote start with the fob or the Ford app, the gas engine is revved up when I get to the truck. I have no idea how much since I have no tachometer. Anyone have this happening?

Folks that are new to the Maverick hybrid are surprised by the sound of the AC in the summer.
I find the air conditioning on my hybrid is much
louder than the engine especially if it's hot out. Remember the hybrid has a three phase electrical compressor that third phase is pretty loud.
I think the cooling fans are louder than the engine.

Mine is on battery sounding like a jet plane revving up its engine to takeoff. When I hit the start button it quiets down quite a bit.

If it's hot out the electric AC compressor will come on, and sets the fans to max speed, it is very loud.

Right, it's the fans that are loud, and I don't think the engine is revving so much.

The Atkinson ICE will run as needed to keep the HV battery charged, so in addition to the A/C noise you will have that sound, and the Atkinson is not known to be a quiet motor due to it's nature.
There was at least one post I read somewhere (maybe not even here) where the A/C compressor sound was very loud and the unit was replaced by the dealer under warranty.
Maybe you can take a video of the sound and post it here, let the Club advise if they think it's too loud?

Been using mine all summer...it's amazing how quick the cabin cools down.

I totally agree.
Mine cools down real quick and it was toasty here last week when I went into town. The three phase hybrid air conditioner works real well.
