The dealer should return your vehicle the way you dropped it off to them. If you had decals applied to the exterior and they complimentary washed it and decals came off they would have to fix it to the way it arrived.

That's not even close to being the same as what happened here.

I had this happen on one of the prior recalls also. Knocked out CC and the extra drive modes. In my case I had backed up all the modules prior and restored them back afterwards but redoing the individual settings should work too.

Had the recalls done, all 3 were for the BCM module so no other settings got knocked out. To reenable you can use the easy mode setting for forscan on the BCM module. In this case and the option to use for cruise control is the one labeled cruise control. CC works again as before.

I reprogrammed the truck myself. Bought a cable and the Froscan program for $12.00. It now works perfect.

So another thing to consider, the AS BUILT file is also being updated with these recalls. I've found some differences in mine when I compare older downloads to newer ones.

I'm waiting for all the rest of the recalls to be performed before I go back in and redo my custom settings. Granted, the biggest thing I lost after the taillight recall was turning off the double-honk, but I don't want to have to redo it 2 more times.

Hi all, necro-bump but I just ran into this experience. I had 5 recalls done which erased my cruise control. Ford refused to re-enable it unless I paid an upcharge. How ridiculous, I'll re-enable it myself.

edit: for the record, I only had to change back one line of code on the BCM: 726-04-05 CB28 8140 8872, the IPC & SCCM changes were still there.

I did receive various DTC's including C05F4, U0103, U0131, U0252, U0256, and U1012 without having this changed back - assuming because the IPC & SCCM were still programmed.

So... I had my 2022 XL serviced at a dealer. I got the majority of the "Software" recalls done, an oil change, and a tire rotation. Got my Mav back and found the Cruise Control I had installed no longer working.
I did the Cruise Control install myself; got Forscan, the Motorcraft switches, and programmed it all and it worked fantastic.
Would I be in the wrong in asking the dealer to fix my CC? Would they charge me for the programming since the XL doesn't have factory CC?
Anyway, I'm a little peeved.
