I looked everywhere to find information regarding spacers for just the rear to make the front and rear track withs look more uniform. It’s very hard to actually measure the fender to tire clearance. The fenders duck and dive from front to back and front to rear. I ended up taking the rear wheel off and stacking washers behind the wheel in several different offsets until I came up with 15mm or 5/8 inch as the best look.

Any chance you took a picture before you put the wheels on? I'm curious if the wheel stud/lug nut protruded past the face of the spacer.

Don’t the factory studs contact the back of the wheel and prevent it from fully contacting the spacers? I’ve never seen a spacer less that 1.5” work on Ford factory wheel studs.

Sorry a bit off topic.
Does anyone have a link for 15-20mm spacers with new wheel studs for the Maverick (14mm?) ?

The backs of the factory wheels have pockets that will accommodate a little factory stud protrusion, however as I mentioned, I’ve never seen a spacer less than 1.5” work. I’d also never use a cheap Chinese set of low dollar spacers, only high quality spacers like Bora, made in USA...

A good way to insure the factory studs are not holding the wheels from fully seating on the spacer is to pack all the pockets on the backs of the wheels with modeling clay, bolt and torque everything, then pull off and see if any of the studs cut completely through the clay

If those are indeed 5/8” spacers the after pics look like the wheels are spaced out ...way... more than 5/8” which means the factory studs are preventing the wheels from seating on the spacers...

???

I didn’t take a picture. But yes you do have to cut the excess off. If I go back to the factory stance (I won’t even if I put the factory wheels back on for resale) I’ll have to replace the wheel studs.

They are 9” wide wheels with 275 tires. They are just past flush figment by design. I’ve been using spacers on vehicles of all sorts since the 80’s. There is no lug or bolt protruding above the face of the spacer.

You don't want the wheel sticking out beyond the fenders, makes a mess & you can end up with more stone chips in your paint. Are wheel spacers even legal anymore? I would hate to be responsible for a tire going through someone's windshield.

Lol

How right you are…

But I just can’t stop myself….. been hot roding anything with an engine for 40 years…

cars, trucks, motorcycles, sand rails, boats, trailers, semi trucks and trailers, and even a tool box once.

Heres a picture of the spacers on the truck. The goo is anti corrosion treatment.

Thank you sir! I used wheel spacers for the first time ever on my boat trailer, to move the spare tire away from the hull a little bit. 1" thick just cleared the original studs.
