Same experience...went from the Escape to Maverick....same engine but Maverick is very tinny and rattly sounding.
Don't actually know because I've not heard it, but I would guess the 2025 with the dual injection is much quieter at idle as I think that is when the engine prioritizes the port injection system.

Pretty normal for the high pressure fuel injector pump. Use 92 octanes fuel only

I was running ethanol and tried regular to see if there was a difference in mileage in my 22 hybrid. A really nice side effect was the rattle you describe all but disappeared. It had the same effect on our 2019 Edge.
Regular in my neck of the woods is about 88-89 octane.
I had been running ethanol to keep water from freezing in the lines and had just gotten used to the noise. I'll be using Sea Foam instead during the winter and enjoy quieter vehicles.

Hi,

kind of old, i "hate" the engine noise that filters to the cabin. I don't mean the sewing-machine noise but the "from high to mid rev engine rattle/vibration".

I found (repeated in many threads) that most of the noise comes from the driver's door that has no padding between engine bay and driver side.

I bought some cheap thermo pads in Temu and stuffed (from the engine side) that space (see crappy pic).

It really muffles the engine noise and now Mav sounds much better, not high rev rattling.

Happy driver! Improved experience.

Hope this helps! Cheers

Yea . I used pool noodles (cut to length) between the front doors and fenders (stuffed them in ) . Also used them between seats and center console to prevent stuff accidentally dropped to be easily retrieved .

Thx...

The paint shaker noise is really close to the EB engine; I really should've got the Ridgeline, but they only had black color that I don't like.
Or you could've gotten the hybrid, and had it sound like a Singer.
