My 22 maverick's radio froze the other day and nothing worked. I did a factory reset through settings. I got some kind of indexing already finished message. This made things worse.

Now I cannot connect the app to the truck. Whenever I try I get an error that says the radio rejected the request promo.

Also now my screen won't go above 50% brightness.

I am on the most current software. Any suggestions? Is there another way to reset the radio through pulling a fuse or through forscan?

While I’ve had plenty of head unit issues mine havent been “permanent”. Sorry other than turning things off and back on again (that’s what has mostly fixed my issues) I’m not sure what else I’d recommend without you potentially voiding your warranty. This sounds like a call to the dealership/service center for a warranty repair.

Did you try to hold down power button and next Trac buttons at the same time until it resets? Power + >>

Sorry, no help on forscan but others may chime in. I think it is fused thru the box in the passenger floor board.

Try pulling fuse number 17/15amp in the passenger footwell with the ignition to on, not run but on. Turn The ignition back off, open the door, reinstall the fuse and then turn the ignition back to on and see if that fixes it.

Pulling the fuses didn’t work. Here is the error I get with the app.

This isn’t a head unit problem. It’s a FordPass connectivity problem; ford’s been having problems on their back-end servers for a couple of months. The issues have been most apparent on 2025 models with many people (myself included) unable to connect for days at a time.

Problem usually clears itself up after a couple of days.

I'm in my 4th day of not being able to control the vehicle remotely. I seem to be OK connecting ios app to the server but can't update the sechedule, lock/unlock door or remote start. Maybe this is an issue on the server side.

At 121 miles and 2 weeks with my first Ford, a frustrating beginning for my 25 Lariat AWD Hybrid.

Weird. My Lariat has its 3rd week anniversary today and Fordpass has been flawless. Not a new account though.

Yeah, there are definitely reliability issues, and it seems to more reliably fail just before morning rush hour.

I work weird shifts which have me leaving at all times of day 7 days a week. Mid morning and afternoon there are never issues. 7:30am on a cold day? It times out, every single time.

There is a bottleneck somewhere at Ford’s end. They either don’t have the server capacity or access to the cell network able to handle the number of people remote starting.

I guess it’s a moot point, though, because after a week of -20° temperatures, my battery’s voltage is just low enough to have entered deep sleep. I expect it will stay there until spring because there’s no heat under the back seat. I’m think going to buy a battery warmer this afternoon.

I keep trying all times, day and night and I haven't gotten anything to work remotely. Still shows me parked for 5 days now. Now GPS either. I think this is more than Ford Pass at play.

Check to see if the app has been updated for your phone. Ford tends to immediately cut off access to the old versions, without any error messages.

Nothing new for iOS. Does seem that the app is connected to the back end as the old data from 5 days ago is there. With the GPS not working, I'm guessing the disconnect is between the cellular modem to the back end servers. I noticed that the GPS did not begin to work again, while in the driveway on my own WiFi, though I was connected after putting my phone into airplane mode. But what do I know?

I'll be calling Ford CRC tomorrow to see if they can jiggle a wire remotely. Anyone have good things to say about Fords customer service helpdesk via the phone?
