I have both the short and 4" Craven and reception isn't anywhere as good as the original antenna. They'd be okay if you live close to the stations. If you don't use FM it really doesn't matter. They're really more for looks.

Just checked and nada. I have a fuel funnel and that flex bed pigtail, but nothing else.
I was planning on getting the stubby anyways so I guess it's not a big deal.
Mine was in the driver side door storage. I heard it rolling around.

Also check in the area under the back seat, both sides of battery. I found my pigtail in the small space next to the 12v battery.

There was no antenna on there when I went to pick it up on Sunday
Take it back and make the dealer put one on. (not that it improves reception much - at least in the hilly rural area where I live).

AM reception should be impossible if you remove the whip; fin antennae rely on rear window defroster wiring for AM reception, and there is no rear defroster on the Maverick.
FM2 input is for DAB, digital FM broadcasting in Europe.

Dealer is an hour and a half away, no thanks. Like I said, I was planning on replacing it anyways so no point getting it put on and then tossing it in the trash later.

I hardly use the radio anyways, It's mostly podcasts or SiriusXM.

The antenna thread size is M5x0.8. I had originally removed my antenna and threaded a black oxide hex cap screw in but it rusted almost immediately.

I just run with no antenna now.

Hell, you're right. There was no antenna on there when I went to pick it up on Sunday and I just thought it was a shark fin style.

Explains why the FM radio reception has been shit :p
Look under the rear seat. It may be in a plastic bag with you fuel funnel.

Rmengel, Potatomafia is in Florida where there's little chance of freezing. If you left your antenna out, with nothing in the threaded hole, and being in Michigan, is there a chance it could fill with water, freeze, and split the mount?

Worth checking out at least. :)

No, I doubt anyone has.

I would be incredibly surprised if a bolt will even work effectively as an antenna.
