To some of the members who felt I shouldn't be asking about pulling an RV with a Maverick, here are my reasons for buying one.

1. I am 83 and have own 13 pickups in my life. I know a few things about them.

2. I wanted a smaller pickup for ease in parking and less weight.

3. I also think that hybrids are a great compromise between gas and EVs.

4 For the price you get a truck with great features and fairly solid construction.

5. I also get about 40mpg compared to 12-15 for 1/2 tons.

6. It fits in my garage.

7. There are about 13 RVs under 4k that the Maverick CAN pull.

8. I own a 26 Maverick Lariat Ruby Red and it is an eye catcher.

9. I am sure there are more reasons, but all in all, I really do like the Mav.

Ignore the haters. I am with you on all of the points you listed excepted the first one as I never owned one before. That's why I ordered and AWD with 4k package. It is just my wife and I plus 2 dogs. Hope to be able to buy a pull behind very soon.

2025 XLT with the 4k tow package. Pulled aluminum trailer with MGB loaded on from Atlanta to Chicago last year with absolutely no issues. Total combined weight about 3800lbs.

Same logic as me. And I'm also 83!

I thought most of the friction you encountered in your previous thread related to your stated premise that you needed a 5Klb trailer, because there weren't any/enough 4Klb trailers that suited your needs, rather than people opposed to pulling a trailer at all.

I don't think you'll find many people arguing your points here.

If this had been the premise in your previous thread, perhaps you wouldn't have needed a second thread for self-affirmation.

Anyway, welcome to the forum, and good luck with the trailer search.

My advice to anyone that buys a trailer ...load it up , and run across the scales to know what you're really pulling .
Water , food , beer , tools , grill , chairs , it all adds up real quick !
