Maybe that includes the Ridgeline to tow it with???????

HRG
I mean, I don't want to discourage Honda or any manufacturer from making accessory campers or trailers like this so I certainly applaud the effort.

It is attractive with the 1,500lb weight but it doesn't offer a whole lot for that beyond the sleep quarters. There isn't even a canopy to cover the outdoor kitchen so inclement weather is an issue.

If weight is truly the driving factor you can get into a Travel lite Rove 14BH for $20k and blows the base camp away with features and functionality:

If you have the 4K tow package, or don't mind pushing up on that limit this is my favorite option (and I almost bought one NEW for $13k OTD last fall):

High end campers with that build quality are not cheap, this not a bare bones Runaway sqaredrop. This is more in line with brands like VIstanbul’s teardrops.

It's very cool, innovative, all that.... but the value proposition is absurd. That whole class of small, high-tec campers is an overpriced money pit, IMO.

If you have money to burn, it would be fun to try out. I'll be shocked if it makes production.

I would rather have a maverick tow it.
In all honesty once they update the interior with better tech/software interface and bring a hybrid system to the Ridgeline (coming in 2027) my Maverick wouldn't be long for my garage if it weren't going to be my sons down the road, so I'll have to wait for my Ridgebrid.

Gotta love tiny campers - all the hassle of towing a trailer, and no bigger sleeping area than a tent.

If I'm going through the hassle of towing, it needs to be big enough to escape bad weather in. Otherwise I'm happy in my tent. But that's just our take on it. For lightweight and expensive, check out Safari Condo Altos.

Yeah if it gets the Honda Passport treatment I think the Ridgeline will sell very well.

What is the Honda Passport treatment that the ridgeline is missing.
A redesign so the interior (and some of the exterior) don’t remind you of a Honda Odyssey.

Ridgie interior is dated even with the refresh and a huge knock on this generation ridgeline is that it looks too wimpy and not enough truck like.

The new passport looks the part. Beefy and chunky.

I personally am looking forward to the hybrid drivetrain variant that is coming. Honda’s series hybrid system is excellent and smooth in small vehicles but wasn’t adaptable to their larger vehicle platform.

Im genuinely curious to see what their next gen hybrid system will look like for the large vehicles as it isn’t as simple as putting a larger ice engine in to supplement the electric motors like a Ford or Toyota parallel hybrid system.
