I don’t disagree. The infotainment system could be MILES better for sure. I haven’t taken it on any long trips yet so as far as the co pilot or ACC I can’t comment on. After tinkering with it again just for shits I was finally able to get the seat belt chime to go away on the drivers side this morning lol. So that was nice. That’s a bummer to hear about the paint not being that great either, I may dive into getting it ceramic coated or something if it’s really that bad.PROS
Agree with all of your Pros (though I don't have the FX4 package). I do a little better than you for mileage on the highway at 28-29 ... A full tank above 30mpg has only been accomplished 1 time... It remains somewhat elusive for me (and I thought I drive like an old man).
CoPilot and CoPilot Assist features work great... especially once you read the manuals and figure out how to maximize their utility. Under some circumstances the thing is almost self driving with you only having to put a little weight on the steering wheel. I love the proximity warnings and cross traffic alerts when backing up. I came from an 06 Frontier w/ manual everything, so I'm surprised how quickly I've embraced all of the tech.
CONS
I only agreed with one of your Cons (the infotainment), but I'll elaborate on it and add three more.
However, you were being kind with the infotainment system... I have the Lariat, so the Sync 3 system... It's just aweful... incredibly laggy. The B&O system does not sound nice (and MY2024 received a very downgraded amplifier compared to 22 and 23 model years).
Paint is thin and scratches and chips so easily. Definitely will do the clay bar and ceramic coating when I'm back stateside in mid April
HVAC controls are very wonky. I have the Lariat and I don't find the system to be all that automatic or intuitive... it's definitely erratic... and does the heating you up, freezing you out thing constantly.
In stock form (EB Lariat AWD 4K Tow) it sits just a bit low for a truck (even a fake unibody truck like what we have). Going to increase tire size to 245/60 R18. I've purchased a 1" f , 3/4" r lift kit that has been used favorably by a few here on MTC for Bronco Sport and Mavericks.
The pollen is starting to collect on it now so I guess for the next month or so I’ll own a yellow Maverick
