Price protection on a 22

Hi I received my truck on Nov 6th. The dealer told me they will send price protected check to me when they get it. Any idea how long this takes? I want to use that cash to get a warranty plan.

This is probably going to be followed by a bunch of replies that they're screwing you and are supposed to apply price protection at time of sale etcetera, etcetera, but from what I've seen from people whose dealers have adopted similar practice it's typically running about 40-90 days. I'd recommend getting it documented on a 'We Owe' sheet from the dealer at time of purchase and maybe see if they'll kick in to cover the extra sales tax you might be paying.

I bet if you make it clear to the dealer you want to buy the extended warranty they will figure out a way to apply the money so you don’t have to write another check

30-45 days after the vehicle is sold is what the marketing materials say is the range for the dealer getting the money. When you get it depends on how fast they turn around and cut you a check.

Yeah I signed the we owe sheet. However I did ask them for documentation essentially another we owe you sheet. Thanks for the info. Want to get an extended warranty with that. It's about 1k.

Yeah I seen other posts where the dealer sent them a check. Not the best but acceptable. If they do it.

My Maverick Lariat was ordered on 10/20/21 and I picked it up on 10/7/22. The price I paid matched the prices that were on the original order, and the financing was also handled as if I picked up the truck in Oct ‘21 (lower interest rates). The financial transaction between Ford and the dealer was likely based on the retail price at the time the truck was delivered (what the window sticker shows), but I paid what I was expecting to pay. Based on the initial order, Ford will reimburse the dealer the price difference between what I payed and what the window sticker shows.

Mine was going to be around $580. They price protected it for me and I didn’t pay it. Hope you get reimbursed quickly.
