Hey guys I see alot of 2021>2022 price protection but not so much 2022>2023. Here's my question I signed and agreed to pay 23,360 for a 2022 in September of 2022. I just got Vin for June 2023 for a 23 mav. The difference in MSRP is $1495.
22 vs 23. Am I covered price protection?

Am I expected to pay $24,855 because Ford delayed my order?
Expected to pay $23,360 because thats what I was promised and they didn't deliver?
Or am I expected to pay 24,855 then will be refunded $1495 by dealer or Ford?

Thanks everyone such a great community!

Except model years are often a year ahead of when they first go on sale. If you placed an order in September of '22 then it was for a 2023 model year. So the only price protection you would have is about $480 off the window sticker price to account for the February 2023 price changes.

Everything started over when you ordered 2023 Maverick. The only price protection you may have is price protection to Sept 2023.

The private transition offer is meant to offset (some/all) of the price increase from 22->23 MY.

@Darnon this is what i was seeking... $480 off sticker. i @Fordguy and he said i was eligible for the about $500 off and i wasn't sure where he got that number from i totally forgot about the change in February. Also from what i gathered from the other threads is your at the mercy of %APR when you pay for the truck regardless of what was available in Sept 2022.

I looked back and my build on ford site was for a 2022 and when i went in they could only build a 2022 at the time. I looked back at my COVP and was for a 2023. My mistake for thinking i ordered a 2022.

Yes, the build and price tool was not updated in September when the 2023's were announced. I'm guessing why you said $1495 was because they did increase the price another $1,000 when the 2023s came out. If you built it based on the 22 model that didn't take it into account. Unless your dealer put in writing they will honor that price, you will only be price protected for the $500 increase from February.

Even then, your window sticker will still show the increase and it will be up to the dealer to reduce the price for you as they will be reimbursed later by Ford.

I placed my Maverick order Oct 2021. Delivered March 2023. Upon delivery the dealer (through Ford) discounted $2750 off current price to honor original order price. That included a promised $1000 ‘order early’ promo from Ford that ran until Nov 1st 2021. Paid $19k and change for my XL. They did me right!
