Some of these dealers will still tell you to go F yourself. Ford MC is not being that protective of their customers when it comes to these unscrupulous dealers. Better to be nice but firm and present your evidence why you get price protection. If that fails, try Mama Ford. You won’t get crap demanding they do this and that.
I already had a serious problem w our salesperson telling us in Feb he was selling our ordered w deposit truck out from under us. I had no reason to be nice, just stern and business like to make sure we got what we agreed to in Oct.

Since I put no money down, I checked back in November '21, on the price protection. My dealer indicated I would get the Maverick for the original price estimate from the Order Summary. But, Since interest rates change, I didn't put anything down, and I have the option of bailing out on the Truck, I would have to negotiate the interest rate at time of purchase. The dealer honored the order summary price. It was almost $1000 less than the Window sticker. And the interest rate for 48 and 60 month wasn't bad. They should at least honor the order summary. They can't lose. It's guaranteed by Ford.

If you were eligible through Ford Financing then the rates they offered at time of ordering would have been protected as well.

Picking up my Maverick tomorrow. Asked my salesman “internet sales manager” last week about Price Protection he is saying Ford is not giving price protection on Maverick as it’s a low profit model, only available on Mach e and Bronco. Sent him YouTube of Tim B to educate to no avail. Says I can call Ford. Offered zero% for 36 months as ordered in August. Seems like I’m being ripped off for $900. Should I just bite the the bullet?
The key is when you ordered. So when did you order? I think it was around October 1st or October 31st. It I’d also call Ford Marketing as they seem to have resolved a few of these, as seen on past posts over the last year or so.

I remember your ordeal. It was pretty bad. But the fact is , even in today’s politically correct society, it’s still a good old boy attitude at a lot of dealerships and they, especially when dealing with the Maverick, don’t really give a rats ass if you get your truck or not. They would love to see you walk on the deal so they can get more. I think the OP has some good backup, as you did, so he should be ok.

Ordered Aug 27 21. I have Ford memo regarding price protection that specifically mentions the maverick. Will see what finance dept has to say this afternoon.

Just looked at this Truck on the lot. What a deal, you can get a $28,000 truck for $37,000 after a discount from $39,800

You could make a lot of money in certain “businesses” in northeastern New Jersey.

Haha I grew up in a family full of lawyers in Chicago politics, I can handle it! I used to design & sell six figure landscape projects so I know it is best to approach business as business. When people mix friendship w business you get problems all around. You can be stern in a business like manner w/o being cocky, mean or demanding.

If your order was in by 12/26, you are protected- just like the internal Ford memo stated (that should have never been made public).

Smartvincent is a tab in the Ford dealer's software where they lock in any incentives. They’re locked in at order time and if they get better, the dealer will pass them on to the buyer. Any dealer with integrity can lock in incentives and should give you all you’re eligible for at order time.
