Lol. My dealer played stupid. Salesman, Sales manager, Finance manager even the General Manager said they never heard about price protection. They had a complete staff change 6 months before my truck arrived. Old staff was great. New guys were all imbeciles. Opened a case with Ford, and they said the dealer controls pricing, but they must submit price protection request. After about 6 times back and forth between the dealer and Ford, I gave up. The dealer is just a bunch of ASSHOLES and Ford doesn't care how they scam people. At least they took the Farm Bureau rebate off.How ?

good point...Well, your 2022 will be worth less than a 2023 or 24 at trade in time, so there is that.
Boy did I fool them. Ha ha ha.Probably true, but it would be good to see some other source. XL must have lower profit per unit than the other models. One reason they are building fewer than the other models. Low base price gets you looking and hopefully you will buy a higher priced model..... Sort of bait and switch but not verbal....
Glad I had x-plan and a 22 to 23 to a 24 roll over. Traded in my 23 ecoboost lariat and got a 24 hybrid lariat with a check back for $2,700. Great deal!According to article on carsdirect 24 maverick XL price being raised by $415 by ford . base price now $25,410 . Price protection on order signed on or before 12/14/23 .

I paid "CASH" for Mine, but it was NOT with a SS check..Yeah, because all the old farts here paid cash for their Lariat Lux Edition Mavericks with their social security checks.
