It's sad that inflation at this rate is normalized by these white collar pricks. Sharks smell blood. At this rate in 2050, newborns will be given the hospital bills.
It’s even more sad a vast swath of the population do t know what causes it and continue to vote for massive government handouts and spending.

Actually a very large part of higher costs are everyone getting raises and outright greed.

Too many of the population rely on those handouts, they're not going to vote for anybody who wants to reduce them,,,,,

Gotta keep buyin' those iPhone 15's, you know,,,,,

Yeah, because all the old farts here paid cash for their Lariat Lux Edition Mavericks with their social security checks.

Crazy how much the price has gone up on the Maverick. I paid 25k out the door for my 22 XLT hybrid with the options I wanted. With the refresh coming for the 2025 model year will we see a base hybrid price of 28k? I wonder if they will give 3 power options.. The 1.5 from the Escape and Bronco Sport (tuned to 200hp), the current 2.0 and then a AWD Hybrid.

A $30k hybrid Maverick for a base price isn't out of line. Compare it to a Rav4 hybrid with AWD ($31.5k).
To me the main thing is that the Rav comes with ACC at all trim levels. If Ford would match that, then a $28-30k starting price for an XL isn't all that bad. Especially assuming the 2025 would have updated safety/tech.

The '22 and '23 XL hybrids were one of the cheapest new hybrid vehicles you could buy, and definitely the most functional for that price range. (vs something like a Corolla hybrid)

Disagree, why do wages go up? If it was greed it would be one massive jump after another never ending. That doesn’t happen.
Raises are required to offset inflation, inflation is cause by printing of money. If you only have $100 worth of good and then you print another 100 you have more dollars going after the same amount of goods. Every time the print money it devalues the money itself. Hence why it was originally backed by gold.
So as people vote for more “free” money and blank checks to Ukraine and other sponge nations. We will continue to see this. We unfortunately need higher interest rate to try and draw money out of the system. It’s gotta get worse before it gets better

The price increases are pretty eye opening.

Couldn't remember the details on my '22 order, so I dug this up. Base MSRP before options on my Lariat hybrid was $25,490.

Ford Maverick Price hike on 2024 Maverick XL - $415 22 Maverick Order

Probably true, but it would be good to see some other source. XL must have lower profit per unit than the other models. One reason they are building fewer than the other models. Low base price gets you looking and hopefully you will buy a higher priced model..... Sort of bait and switch but not verbal....
Yep I had originally ordered the XL but when I found XLT with Lux Pkg on a lot nearby me I grabbed it. Glad I got it too, the extra features are nice

Price protection mean nothing if your dealer plays stupid. Ask me how I know.....
I ordered my truck on Dec 26th 2021. One day before a price increase. When I got delery in Nov of 22. My dealer told me they will send a check to me for price protection and they did. Sorry you had these issues.

All new staff since I ordered. Everything changed. Appropriate feedback was left for them.

I think price protection is a Ford thing. I am not sure but it should be in smart Vincent. The dealers need to look there.

I make more renting the couch in the basement than social security pays. Longer waiting list than an XL hybrid!

Perhaps someday you will be fortunate enough to be an "old fart" as opposed to a jealous young whipper snapper. Now get off my lawn.
