Probably true, but it would be good to see some other source. XL must have lower profit per unit than the other models. One reason they are building fewer than the other models. Low base price gets you looking and hopefully you will buy a higher priced model..... Sort of bait and switch but not verbal....

Wow. Really $24k for a XL? I paid about $26k after everything for my XLT with everything stated below in my signature. I guess I'm really lucky I got a 2022.

Yes. The more I’m on here the more I sing my praises on my 22. No issues and lowest price we will see.

Well, your 2022 will be worth less than a 2023 or 24 at trade in time, so there is that.

Besides the mileage and usage argument I would have to disagree with your umbrella statement. Not only was our ‘22 less MSRP but it also came with features that have been taken away from newer models. Kinda crazy that a first year had more options than a 3 year old variant.

Like the person you quoted, I’m happy I got my 22. Almost justifies all of those over msrp chasers…

Yea . my fx4 msrp $28,670 and if ordered today would be $32,475 In terrain color Per ford ordering sight today . plus $3805 . plus I have used my truck for 2 years Which more than makes up for depreciation imo . so far so good .

Me too. I'm still waiting for the Dec. 2021 price protection rebate for my 22 XLT ordered in July, 21 and delivered Oct, 22. Multiple visits, second sales manager, called Ford CS and Marketing, no one seems to be able to get it. I think the dealer turned all of the qualifying 2022 Maverick price protection rebates into a profit center because none of us got one.

That's trim dependant. XL actually has cruise if not a 2022.
