I have never had the emergency stop activate but I do like the active lane keeping on copilot 360. It steers you back in the lane faster than you can using the steering wheel.
You have to make sure it is turned on and adjusted to your liking. The check boxes are buried in the settings. The salesman shut it all off when I got the truck and told me to turn it on when I was ready.

I'd like to hear other's experience with Copilot 360. I am liking it and thinking it may save me from myself someday.

My roomies have a Hyundai Sonata that likes to go off a lot when stopped at a red light even when nothing is in front of them. And a Santa Fe that occasionally does it out of nowhere as well. We are in Savannah so we accept it as ghost detection.

False warnings are a reality with all systems, not just Ford. There is nothing to worry about.
Yeap, that is correct. I get false warnings on my wife’s vehicle all the time.

Mine has never activated. I feel left out.
Same. Does the pre-collision need to be activated? Although in all honesty, I'm not sure I want the truck braking for me. Some douche canoe in a huge older Chevy truck cut across westbound traffic and into the center lane and into the eastbound lane without stopping yesterday until I laid on my horn. No one was in the other lane so I was able to swerve over, but I saw my life and the life of my Maverick flash before my eyes.

I'm telling you...people are aiming for us.

Haven't activated the Lane Assist either. Guess I need to do some reading of the owners manual.

I'll get warnings and have had braking if someone takes their sweet time slowing/turning in front of me, either from the same lane or if they are sticking into the lane a little bit. I feel it can be a little over sensitive for my comfort level but I've never had mine go off for the hell of it...at least not yet. :)

I'm not sure 100% how to picture the sequence of events you described. A car was driving towards you head-on while you were also moving? PCS is not designed to activate in that scenario.

This system is most useful at preventing you from rear-ending someone at low speeds, and preventing you from hitting a pedestrian that you can't see/darts out from between cars/etc.

It has a metric fuckton of limitations and is not nearly the safety net most seem to think it is. But it is worth using since you have it, just for those scenarios above. While your insurance premiums aren't reduced by the system necessarily, if it helps you avoid rear-ending someone who brakes suddenly or (heaven forbid) a pedestrian, it is worth it. Use it.

I’ve had my Lariat with 360 since Nov 2021 and use the Lane Centering every time I drive. I really really like that feature. You have to stay alert and can’t take your hands off the wheel for more than 30-45 seconds, but it makes main road and highway driving so relaxing.

I’ve never turned Lane Keeping on because of using Lane Centering all the time.

No, not head-on...I was traveling east and the Chevy driver was coming from a fairly large strip mall parking lot to the north, cut across the two westbound lanes of traffic to the center turn lane, and just about came into my eastbound lane, so he was approaching my driver's side. Approaching from the side I doubt anything would have activated, other than my "Learn to drive, AH!" response.

I was driving into work today and my pre collision warning came when there was no car in front of me in my lane. There was a car slightly infront of me in the right lane and it was a particularly sunny so I am trying to convince myself that it triggered due to some light reflection off that car making the alert trigger. Has anyone else had this issue? The braking assist did not engage, it was just the warning. I have had this happen a handful of times in my GF Lincoln MKZ so I am thinking it may just be a ford thing too. I only have about 350 Miles on my maverick to date. Thanks!
I've had this happen to me twice when I was making a turn and a bicyclist happened to be traveling on the road I was turning into and was for a moment directly in front of me. What are the chances of that? Warning came on, but no braking engagement. It is startling, but once I knew what was going on, I didn't panic. I think you're in the "normal" category on this.

This is exactly what I have experienced with this thee or four times so far. Even when they have basically already turned and I am in no danger of running into them which is annoying. Haven't decided if I want to deactivate it yet or not.

I have barely tested the Lane Centering/Co-Pilot stuff as I am usually just driving neighborhood roads so hasn't seemed worth it.

Owned my Maverick XL for 6 months. Has Copilot 360. From what I understand you get more features with 360 depending on your trim level. I enabled all the settings. The collision warning flashed once, whole dash blinked red repeatedly when going down a narrow road with cars parked on both sides of the street. I came up to the curve doing about 25mph, and the dash lit up…..

Happened once , same as others have mentioned, probably due to light conditions as other members have said.
