All,
I received a dash warning ⚠ with about 500 miles on the truck. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary and the windshield need the sensor appeared clean. I had to keep driving and it reset itself a half hour or so later. This was at highway speed. The Ford App sent me the text of the full name warning as well.

Clean your camera on the window behind the rearview mirror and or the sensors along the bumper. I had that once and after I cleaned everything it went away

Have you checked the front end to make sure that all of the sensors are clear of debris and clean? Sometimes when one or more of the sensors are particularly dirty you can get that message.

Thanks for the info. Everything appeared clean. I also experienced a total shutdown of all of the safety features while driving in heavy thunderstorms outside of St. Louis. I missed several tornadoes during the trip. The rain was so strong it shut everything down.

It’s possible the rain was so heavy that it fooled the sensors, appearing to them as a solid object in front of you.

I guess all of this just serves as a reminder to not put all of our trust in the car’s technology. Relying solely on the car and not using our skills, senses, and not paying attention when driving is a recipe for problems.

Ford disclaims all responsibility for all the technology they forced upon you. It is the drivers responsibility to operate the vehicle. Also, you will have to learn where all the sensors are in order to clean and maintain them.

Hopefully, if the OP's windshield wipers are the correct size. They will automatically wipe the camera area with each pass.

I'm not referring to the active cruise control sensor in the grill.

Needs to be permanently turned off.
Nanny aids.
I’ll be in a wide multi lane curve and it thinks I’m gonna hit the car in front because I’m so close.
Not yet advanced enough to know that car is in another lane.

I get the warning a hundred yards away only when the vehicle ahead is turning right. NEVER had a warning closer than 100 yards. Thanks, Ford.

Ron,
Which warning alert are you referring to?
If you're referring to the Pre-Collision alert. You can change the the alert sensitivity?

I keep mine on high.
I want as much notification as possible.

Have got invalid collision warnings or sensor issues from other vehicles due to dirt, road grime, snow, and ice. Would occasionally have to pull over and clean the area where the sensor resided.... in this case my Hyundai Sonata which was behind the grill emblem that at times could collect lots of road grime when rainy or humid going down the hway.

My eyes see it way before the nanny aid does.

Thanx for the tip. It is set at medium per default and I see people getting alerts in town at that setting. I don't want any more distractions in town. My wife is challenging enough!:sneaky:

That "nanny" saved me and my wife from rear-ending a Tesla on the freeway. Traffic was stop and go. I took my eyes off the front to check my side view mirror and without me knowing it, the Tesla came to a sudden stop. Thanks to the warning alert, I had just enough time to jerk my steering wheel and avoid a collision.
