I see many posts on this forum that mention problems with Mav Hybrids like "Deep Sleep", axle problems, grabby brakes, etc. Are these the exception or the norm?

I'd like to know how many people on this forum have had NO problems with their Mav Hybrids.

Please comment only if yours is a Hybrid, with NO problems and please include:
1) Model Year
2) Month/Year of delivery
2) # of problem free miles

My Hybrid Lariat, MY24 (23 rollover) is in production now (Oct 26, 2023) and I hope to have it soon. I'm optimistic that my Maverick will be problem free for many years and miles.
I have XLT Hybrid and it's been great. Ive had it 4 months and put on close to 4k in miles. I took a trip with it an i absolutely love it. The only thing i found that is missing is the auto up for the driver window. It has auto down but no biggie. One other thing i attempted to use a clothing bar in back seat...the hooks in truck are cheap one broke off pretty quick but other than that i an thoroughly enjoying this vehicle.

I will let you know after the truck has some miles one it...like over 24K miles. Anything sooner is useless.

This may come in useful..(for other states, may be different)

Oregon’s lemon law extends protection to two years or 24,000 miles from the purchase or lease of a new vehicle. If your vehicle is a lemon, you can receive a replacement or a refund, less a reasonable allowance for use of the vehicle.

To Use Oregon’s Lemon Law
To qualify for protection under Oregon’s Lemon Law:

  • A part or system under warranty must not be working. The problem must be significant enough to substantially reduce the vehicle’s use, value or safety.
  • Each malfunction must be reported to the manufacturer or dealer. They will have an opportunity to fix the problem.
  • At least three failed attempts to fix the problem must be made (at least one attempt if the problem is likely to cause injury or death), or the vehicle must be in the shop for a combined total of 30 or more calendar days (60 or more calendar days for a motor home).
Note: Oregon does not have a three-day right of cancellation for vehicle purchases. So unless it is in your sales contract, you cannot return your vehicle without a legal reason.

August 23 XLT Hybrid no issues in 2000 miles unless you count the 45 mpg as an issue 😉

2022 Hybrid XL, delivered in Jan, 2022. Currently 14,000 miles. So many issues that Ford considered buying it back last month as part of the Washington State Lemmon Law! Brakes, electrical, etc.... But now, it seems that everything is 100% perfect. Turning it in was not want I wanted because I love this truck and there's nothing on the market that will work for me. Plus, If I tried to replace it with a newer Maverick, I couldn't get one fast enough and I'd have to pay a lot of of pocket plus higher interest. I was fortunate to get 0.9% from a credit union first time around! So, in lew of turning it in, they offered me $2,000 for the inconvenience. I requested $3,000 is more fair and they agreed. So, with no issues at this time and the fact I already purchased a 7 year warranty when I bought it, I'm a happy camper! :)

22 Hybrid lariat 18,000 miles. Delivered in March of 22. Got me through blizzards, road trips and city traffic. Could not be happier with it. Hope the 19,000 mile jinx does not sneak up on me now that I bragged. Nothing looks as good after a cleaning than the alto blue metal flake paint.

Deep Sleep is NOT necessarily a problem in itself. It is the car doing what it is supposed to do, conserve its battery. When the battery won't start the truck, that is the problem. I've had deep sleep many, many times...but it has never failed to start. No other issues for me.

I have a 2023 XLT Hybrid, delivered in February of this year (2023). I have about 6,900 miles on it, and, knock on wood, I have had zero problems to date. My in city mileage (using actual mileage calculations at the pump) has been around 44 MPG, while my road mileage has been around 38 MPG. Love my Maverick.
