I finally figured out how to address the pedal height issue on my Lariat. I took a piece of 2"x8" board just big enough to fit snuggly under the pedals and I wrapped it with some of the non-slip outside step covering......bingo.....I can now reach the pedals!

Definitely don't want any chance of that getting UNDER the brake pedal, make sure it's very secure!
YES! I agree... 😬

Can you pop a couple of screws, though the floor liner to keep that support in place!!!

Thin strip of wood under the floor mat.
Drill up thru that into the chunky piece of wood with screws.
Should hold it in place.

Yeah I was thinking of this exactly or putting the wood under the mat.. anything to prevent it from movement

Make another one but with Styrofoam

At least if it slides under your brake pedal you'll be able to crush it 😄

I was in this position back in May, and it was for my wife as she is 5.0 ft tall...the perfect height in my opinion! ;-)

She couldn't reach the pedal and also rest her foot on the floor...that would be exhausting, suspending your foot above the floor, unsupported, and try to use the gas pedal.

This is the solution I came to, and after 5 months of use and inspections to ensure safety, it has been performing perfectly...no movement, no slippage, no problems.

I drilled the holes through Weathertech floor mats.

There is velcro to attach the sturdy base plate to the carpeted floor to assist in ensuring no movement of the simple mechanism.

I also ensured if the gas pedal is fully depressed in a full throttle situation, the installed "organ pedal" won't slip off the actual gas pedal. All part of ensuring everything is positioned correctly.

Just another angle on how to help possibly make your Maverick perfect for you, if you are interested.

Cheers,

Andy

I would secure that somehow. I had an apple roll under my brake pedal once and almost got in an accident because i couldn't depress the brake pedal!
