Now you're just going to get people cutting through the parking lot at an angle right next to you, and because there's wide open space around your truck, they'll be going faster than if you were parked closer to everyone else. Sad to say, this has been my observation. At least park off to the side if you're serious. :)

You are 100 percent right. I noticed this. They come so close to your car. I have been In my vehicle and see cars coming close by. Have to rethink my parking.

I always park away from other people but next to an end parking curb so nobody can park on one side. Usually on the passenger side with the tires right next to the curb.

Excuse me, but I believe you're parked in my spot. 😉

Even that's not perfect. For instance, I was once parked at a grocery store, on the back side of one of those landscaped islands toward the back of the lot (blue rectangle in the satellite shot below). Pulled through so there was an open parking spot behind me. I got back out to the car to find a truck backed right up to my lil Focus' rear bumper as if he'd used his trailer hitch hitting me to tell him when to stop. Some people will go out of their way to do things like that. *sigh*

Yea it’s not perfect but I try my best to avoid lazy bad drivers best I can.

My Mustang I won’t take it to a store or restaurant unless I can keep an eye on it. Especially stores like Walmart etc I avoid them like a plague.

I usually park near the back of the parking lots because then I don't have to navigate as much around pedestrians/dumb aggressive drivers (who seem to be in prime form in parking lots) and I don't mind/actually like getting a few extra steps.

This brings back memories of me purposely parking, as my daughters would say- "a million miles from the entrance" - just to (a) keep my vehicle as nice as can be and-- most importantly (b) to annoy the hell out of the kids.......;). We are empty nesters now but when they are home, Dad still parks "a million miles away...."

I guess that is why Baskin and Robbins has 31 flavors. Everyone has different choices and ideas what they want.

Sorry guys. It's just a car (truck). For five years no dents with the MINI parking in tight spaces. Then in the garage I dinged it with the wife car. Shit happens.
I work hard for my stuff. I take care of it best I can. If parking out in a certain spot reduces dents and dings then that’s what I will do. I have no problem walking from a distant spot.

Usually the lazy drivers park with the other lazy drivers who don’t care about anybody else’s car because it’s just a car.

All of my vehicles have zero dents, dings, scrapes etc. I tribute that to careful parking where most lazy careless drivers avoid parking at because they are too lazy to walk the xtra distance.
