That is good and I am not quite halfway of paying mine off since I have a six year loan on mine.

I paid mine off the day I bought it. My wife got 0% financing and paid her car off with no interest over time.
I would have to say financially that she made the better choice for holding her money and increasing her credit score, but I just don’t like loans… even if they’re basically just a deferral payment.

I got 0%/36mo on my last Escape. Free money indeed. BUT, she probably had pretty damn good credit going into that loan as you need a >799 to qualify and very few do.

I achieved a milestone of sorts financially, making the last payment on my '23 Lariat a few weeks ago. I made a substantial down payment, financed the balance for 48 months and was able to pay it off in 39. Just in time for partial retirement starting in July! I am just as pleased with my Mav as the day I picked it up from the dealership in March 2023.

I have a 23 xl, had to wait 393 days from order to delivery, how long did you wait?

yep - just 4 more payments to pay off my '22 xl at 3 percent interest :} Having a low interest is absolutely the best. Went from making regular repair$ on my old (No a/c) '03 gas guzzling Aviator to carefree economical fun driving in my Mav - a 'life changing' experience!

Congratulations on making this 2 big milestone, more importantly the retirement one, lean back enjoy it you worked you @$$ off to archive it.

Get a bit crazy about doing nothing ? Pick up a hobby, travel, meet friends and family that because you were working couldn't do before. Still bored ? Hit the gym, ride bike, swimming. Still bored? be a volunteer on something that really feed your soul.

Welcome retirement, accept it, embrace it, enjoy it.

I have 16 months left on mine, under $8,000. The monthly interest is so low it doesn't make sense to put extra towards it

That is great for you, i have a 2025 that I bought in February 25 that i an 1/2 done paying off.

Congrats on payment free and partly retired. Grew up a farm. Dad and grandpa would say if it's financed you're working for the bank's pocket. None of the vehicles, tractors, equipment was financed. If we couldn't pay cash, keep running the old stuff.

Dave Ramsey's approach? When you have the cash to pay it all off, even though the finance interest is at 0%, you would still pay it all off?
