How long are people waiting? I ordered mine October 21st. I was told 2-3 months but with constant part shortages and demand it seems more like 5-6 months.

Interesting. I am curious how many people will start canceling orders if they are forced to buy another car if their current car dies?
Some may cancel and get their deposit back, if they paid one, but chances are the dealership will still keep the order in the system to allow them to sell it with a markup.

Purchased incoming dealer stock Oct. 5. Tracking just showed it being delivered to dealer today. I got my preferred colour/model, but had to give up on the options. Pretty much a ""Pick your poison." situation for anybody purchasing a vehicle these days.

I've talked to 3 different dealers, 2 said about january-march, one said december. Ford corporate is saying summer now when I called. I placed a factory order and had the dealer move my reservation to a dealer stock one that was more or less what I ordered. If you plan on waiting for a Factory one, I would say minimum March before you see it, material shortages are going to wreak havoc in the new year though, so I would say the safest bet is going to be late spring/early summer.

If you're dead set on a maverick, call the dealers and see what they have on order with a vin that isn't sold and pick one. Youll probably get it end of Nov/December

Good luck with that, its more like 6 months, am going to have to buy my leased chev. lease is up in march. Or walk.
If not already answered, get an extension on your lease. I have a Ford Escape and after my last payment (Dec.), I'll contact ford for the extension.

Congrat's! Pix?

Also, if others are getting the factory spray-in bed liner, consider canceling & applying locally......could save you about a month. That is apparently a big bottleneck in the Mav line.

I heard on the news last night there having serious aluminum shortages going to effect auto Manufaction and the chip shortage on top of that could be 6/8 months.
I think it's more of the shortage of the alloying components to harden the aluminum (magnesium,? Do not remember) but China has shut down large portions of their electrical and their aluminum output has tanked oops did not mean to imply that they are making tanks oops what kind of tanks so let's say cratered.

Price compare lease buy $$ to online "we will buy your vehicle" offers before letting lease vehicle go back.

How does that work? You can still cancel your order before you take delivery, correct? Especially if it hasn't even been built yet I'm assuming. The dealer would not have any problems selling it once it hits the lots that's for sure. From what I've heard from some dealers, the Maverick is sold within 1-2 days after it hits the lots.

Yep, just inform your dealer you want out, and your deposit refunded. It's the best news your dealer will hear all day. ;)

I ordered Nov 1 & am hoping to have it by Easter. If not, it gets here when it gets here, if its long enough I won't have to do any financing.

I sold my car a month ago to take advantage of dealers paying obscene amounts for good used cars. Pocketed almost $10k after a 3 year lease, but now I don't have a car as I wait for my Mav (XLT w/lux pkg/CP360/FX4). I work from home and my wife is home during the week and sleeps on the weekends after hospital night shifts, so having one car hasn't been a big issue for the most part. I could see myself growing impatient if time frame stretched past Jan/Feb, though.

I expect 6-8 months and that is a perfect timeline for a great vehicle. Happy to wait. Hope others continue to get frustrated and jump ship.

I didn't need a new car, after a customer came in my shop last Sept. and told me about the Maverick and that he ordered one, I kept researching them and couldn't believe the price and fuel economy, so I order the Hybrid Oct. 2nd. That same customer came in a few days ago and told me (10) of his friends ordered
one, I know I've told a few people and they want one as well. I got a feeling that once these start getting out and the public starts seeing them and enquiring about them, Ford wont be able to make enough for a few years.
