Understood it does not apply to existing orders - I never said that. Just that steep price increases were coming for the Maverick in the future. Future ended up being the same model year. MY23 will see an even larger increase. And so on.
Everything is going up in price. Have you bought a burger recently at McD. I was shocked. My house has increased in value 18% over the last rear. The best is the value of my “F” sock is beyond any imagination. The general market is up over 20%. I have got no complaints since at 70 years old i am not buying much outside of a new truck. oh i forgot SS payments and my military retirement all got big pumps on Jan 1st and if i finance any of this truck it will be @ 0 percent. So increases are understandable and you have the option to participate or not. Sorry about the long blurb.

Whose not participating? Nobody is saying things aren't going up. That's the point - and the Maverick isn't going to hold the line while other things increase.

Just don't be surprised when Ford can't fulfill every single Hybrid order for MY22. I think it would be a first for Ford IF they accomplished such a feat.

Ask those First Edition, first day reservation, Bronco orderers who are driving around a MY22 Badlands, or even worse, still waiting for their lesser model to be picked up for production.

Did you get a VIN, and if you did, can you trace it?
I have an Oct order. So it will be a while before I get a vin.

I did receive an email from Ford same day my order went in verifying my order.

The source is the fact that I've been doing this song and dance with Ford and my Bronco for more than a year now is the source.

It would be shortsighted of me to think that Ford has magically fixed all of their issues (they haven't) and the Maverick roll out will deliver every order as promised. We've seen a delay in the OKTB, we've seen stop sales, we've seen constraints, Ford cut off orders at least but they are not likely to fulfill all orders for MY22. I'm not saying 20% - but there will be a small percentage of Hybrid orders that get kicked to MY23.

Like I said there would be a price increase for MY23 and got laughed at for it - and then Ford didn't wait even 6 months before increasing pricing MID YEAR.
This is confusing. I'm not seeing any MSRP increase on base XL- I'm looking at build & price in another browser right now. Still $19995. When I recreate my own build with 2.0, AWD, 4k Tow, SIBL, etc. none of those prices increased. I know some options got a little bump, but I don't see anything I would I call MID YEAR price increase (MSRP)?

Oh because they didn't increase pricing on the base model it doesn't count? XLT and Lariat trims increased in price as did a handful of options.

The XL will increase in MY23 as well.

My wife and I ordered a Maverick XL Hybrid with a towing package on 8/1/2021. We were pretty excited. We had bought new vehicles in the past, but had never ordered one. I had read about the protocol to order and after a few days, I contacted the salesman. I asked him about it. He assured me it was done correctly. After a couple of weeks, I stopped in again and asked if they had a confirmation number. The salesman said they had and referred me to his boss. The manager again assured me it had been ordered would keep In touch. I stopped in October and was informed by the manager he had good news. The truck was scheduled to be build the week of November 22. The first week in December, the salesman called and said our truck was in. Fantastic. We went to the dealership and waited while the truck was being cleaned. They brought it around and it wasn't our truck. It was an XLT with the Echo boost. They apologized. On January 4th I stopped in the dealership. The salesman was out, so I left a message inquiring if there had been any news. An hour later, the salesman called and said Ford cancelled the order without explanation. He said I could get a truck without the Hybrid option or order the Hybrid in when the 2023 season starts. I was extremely disappointed. I never did get a conformation or any correspondence directly from Ford.
If you received an email from Ford confirming your build, that should be sufficient right. I have a confirmation email from Ford showing my build choices & they are accurate.

I had a similar experience. My dealer printed me out the order sheet with the price and options I requested. Signed and everything was good, or so I thought.
For some reason, never told exactly why, the dealership canceled the initial order and put in a new order but selected the wrong engine.
The dealership didn't use my email address on the order so I never even got the confirmation, but the dealership assured me.
A couple of months go by (after the Supposed Fits email I never got) I inquired again to my dealership.
This time they sent me a good news it's been scheduled. Included the VIN and Order number so I could track it online.
It was at this point I found they ordered an ecoboost instead of a hybrid.
It came in the day after Christmas and asked when I was going to come pick it up, and I told them I would pass as I really wanted a hybrid. I might have purchased it if they had said I could buy it for the same agreed up price, but they insisted on adding the small increase from moving the engine up in price.
So I'm stuck between waiting a whole year for a MY23 or just go buy a Frontier down the road.

Once again I don't understand how these things happen you have to go online build your truck dealer calls you sends you a pre Dora to be signed by you which goes to Ford who then in turn sends back the Dora with your build specifications and trim level truck along with an order number and dealer code and then at which time you should get an email from Ford saying order confirmed if thoese steps didn't happen you got it all wrong and your dealer wasn't very helpful. Hopefully if you move forward with purchasing a Maverick truck you will follow these steps and get the order right the next time and not have these issues. It's not Ford's fault that you're dealer an idiot

That would be correct. I was either going XL with options I needed or another direction. I Never considered XLT or Lariat, never priced them, never followed them- therefore they don't exist in my world and neither do price changes :p

That is fair on a personal level. I too was only interested in the XL (Hybrid) however, it was still a price increase!

Yours is not the first post with exact same problem. Go to your dealer and ask to see the correspondence, if they cannot or will not something is rotten.
Wasn't Ford saying Tow Package was going to be an option on Hybrid then changed that? Probably after some real world testing.

You should share the dealer's name so others will know to stay clear of this company. Sorry to hear of the terrible situation they put you through. I am still waiting for mine that was ordered 8/12/21 with no build date yet. My dealer said they think I will get it in March. Fingers are crossed!

Sorry could have worded that better. You should expect correspondence in July as it gets closer to when MY23 order banks open up.

I'm telling you - not ALL MY22 hybrid orders will be built as MY22 orders.
You need to add “in my opinion” because there are many folks closer to Ford that disagree, You are entitled to your opinion and express it as often as you would like. Thanks - please consider.

Not sure about that A under 20K Hybrid PU Truck with 43 Highway is a big claim to fame. I personally would leave it alone and tack the numbers on the XLT and Lariat to make up the difference.
