If you own 100 shares of Ford stock (~$13/share) for at least 6 months, you can get Ford’s X Plan pricing; which will save you around 3% off MSRP. Fill out a simple form, email it to Ford and they will send you a PIN to provide to the dealership when you pick up your truck.

I ordered a Lariat Lux, with just about everything except FX4, in Velocity Blue. Ordered on 6/18 and Build Week is 10/4. $500 refundable deposit. If you don’t want to purchase it, the dealer will gladly let you walk because they are not allowed to order and inventory that’s not pre-sold.

Oh dang, wish I would have known that. I have been pondering this for a while

Or, join the Mustang Club of America with a digital membership for $35 and in 90 days you can get a PIN for X Plan pricing. That’s what I did. You have to check up front with the dealer if they accept X Plan. 90 days will pass long before your Maverick is delivered.

And, BTW, Ford stock has done very well in the year since I bought it. I think the Mav and ⚡F150 will be game changers.

Congrats! Color, drivetrain? Any other minor options or accessories? Inquiring minds want to know!
Black, hybrid. Just the Lux package and copilot, pretty simple.

I sent my X Plan PIN to Freeway Ford and they said they do not honor any discounts. 😳 The only option offered? They suggested I forfeit my order and they will refund my deposit so I can other from another dealer. I received a quote from Granger Motors. Completed the paperwork in a few minutes and the price is 3% under invoice! 😀 The downside…I lost my place on the schedule and I’ll need to pick it up in Iowa. I’m rolling the dice on the date as nobody really can predict the schedule. The upside? I saved over $2k!

Since there is really no “place on the schedule “ , I don’t think you’ve given up much. I considered Grainger but got XPlan at Waconia Ford which is 6 miles from where I live. I know I gave up some discount for convenience.

Nice - we aren't far apart! I'm over in Carver, go to Waconia for my service (I bought my Ranger there, and prior to that an Infiniti Q40). They are good to deal with, but I just couldn't overlook the value proposition with Granger being 3% below invoice, which is effectively almost 6% off MSRP - saving almost $2K on my XLT.

@CraigMN congrats! Agree with Jack's statement - there really isnt a line so much as you are going to wait more or less depending 1 - on your build, and 2 - on your dealer's allocations.

Granger will have higher allocations because they are a volume dealer, however that also means they have more orders.

What did you both order?

Mine is being built this week(!) - Cactus Gray XLT Lux, 2.0 AWD, Tow, 360, FX4 with the only other options being FS spare, rear manual window and moonroof.

I had another reason for buying at Waconia, they bought my Subaru Impreza for some serious dollars at today’s weird pricing. Their policy is not to take trades on orders because the market can change; so I did lose the sales tax advantage.

I had a 10/4 build date. Freeway refunded my deposit so they will probably receive the truck and sell it. I placed new order with Granger and will need to get in the back of the line, and wait…
