Ok Maverick sleuths….need help

My Escape doors are heavier feeling than the Maverick's doors.
The doors at the check arm looked similar.

On Escape doors if Ford doesn't replace the door on CSP 23B56, they install a $8 reinforcement kit that is pop rivets and a small plate.

Greetings all. I have a sharp “clicking” in my driver’s door when I fully extend it when opening. No noise when it closes. I’ve tried silicone lube spray on the hinges to no avail. It only occurs during the hot months (May-September here in Texas). Any other ideas or suggestions? Thanks!
