I went in to change colors today and was informed I was at priority 2. Sales manager claim there’s 50 orders in front of mine but I think he’s inflating the numbers a little bit.

What info do I need to ask my dealership for so that I can check my order with Ford chat?

You only need your Order Code and Sales Code, both of which should be on the preview order document which your dealer should have given you when you ordered.

Order # (should be on that order thing you signed or you can call and ask)
Dealer# (dealer sales code - this is a 6 character field thats printed in the lower left of every new car window sticker on their lot, used to be able to look this up online, maybe your dealer will give this?)

I have already had a call from my dealer telling me about the supply constraints (duh) and wanting to know if I was still interested in the vehicle (hell yes!). The next day I get an email from the dealer reminding me that the order banks for the 2022 Ford F150 close on May 13th and I need to hurry if I want to order mine (fat chance).

I have learned a few things though; if you use Ford online chat and want to check your order, you need your order number and sales code or they can't help you. I was directed to FoMoCo marketing to help me. Once they verified it was actually me they gave me the information and let me know my current priority was 10. They were very understanding and polite. I will contact them again next week if I don't get an email.

And to my fellow October order makers, may the odds ever be in your favor.

Edit: Just got word my priority has been changed to 02 (it was 10 a month ago).

You can also call the Ford Help Line. They will give you that information after you verify basic info.

10/1 hybrid xl, I just got a vin assigned with a production week of 6/27. Hopefully this means lots more October orders are gonna be looked at really soon. I really wasn’t expecting a vin after checking with check every week.

The rep you talked to was clueless then, as they definitely have access to it. Sad they don't have these answers down pat by now...
