I can't figure out how Ford is prioritizing building & shipping orders. I got and email yesterday stating my Maverick was built and I got this email this morning.

Looks very nice to see it moving along. Been staring at the same Order Confirmed for way too long. Too early for a build day email, but my dealer says that have a build day of Sept 22.

I went into production on 8/11. Finally “built” 9/7. Shipped this morning. Here’s my wild-ass guess: early August orders were built without hitches then parked in a lot. When the hitches came in, they of course went to the production line, hence late August orders getting “built” so quickly. The trucks waiting for hitches were pulled from the lot in reverse order that they were parked to have the hitches added, which is why folks with builds a little before 8/11, like @Mxer97, are still waiting. Again, just a guess, but I bet it won’t be much longer.
I like your theory, makes sense & hope you are correct because ours went into production on 8/11 too 😊👍. I've been thinking that the hitch is the issue too.

So - ford chat doesn't work anymore? I keep getting a "try again later" whenever I go to the online chat - and calling the 800 number said "call during business hours", which is allegedly now (Saturday 8 AM - 8 PM).

According to Customer Service my Mav was built on 8/12 and delivery expected September 6 to 12. Called Customer Service on Friday, he told me it has not shipped yet, and the computer still shows delivery between September 6 and 12th, so call back next week and maybe they will have an update. I was also told there are no constraints just waiting for a rail car to Atlanta.
I have had a VIN since May, a half dozen e-mails or so from Ford changing the build dates and window sticker since July 5th

I have a base XL with a hitch, I'm starting to wonder if they prioritize based on profitability after the VIN is created, mine is a lower margin truck. Does anyone know?
Also thank you to everyone on the forum, this is my first vehicle order and I would have given up long ago without the information from this forum

Just curious...does your truck show "built" or "in production" on the tracker ? Unfortunately, many of the Ford customer service reps use "built" and "produced" to mean the same thing when they are not the same. Our XL Hybrid with a tow hitch was "produced" on 8/11 but is not ready to be shipped for some unknown reason (not in "built" status yet but still listed as "in production") although our delivery ETA is the same as yours 9/6-9/12.

Shows in production, secondary status ' produced' , chat & customer service say awaiting shipping. But both say no holds, but not released from plant. One customer service rep said she had never seen the word ' built ' and just assumed built when released or shipped, don't know what to think about that. Window sticker shows Rail ramp one. RH02

Wow, you have heard all the different terminology from the reps 🤣.

Interesting how the reps, although always pleasant, seem to be merely reading from a computer screen with very limited information and they always seem a bit flustered when I ask for clarification. "Produced" but not awaiting shipment, I ask? Yes, they say but no holds I ask? "No holds" they say but then I ask "so what's the hold up"? 🤣
I know that they are only trying to be helpful without truly knowing what's going on so I take whatever they say with a grain of salt and mainly called them in the past to get basic info like our VIN, build weeks, etc & now, once our truck ever moves into "built" status on the tracker, will call for delivery ETA dates. Since our latest ETA is 9/6-9/12, I may just call on 9/13 to see if anything has been updated 👍

Uncle Ed, I'm over in the LaGrange area, when my Mav ships I'll let you know.

Jac, interesting observation, yes the CS rep said produced. When I questioned him if produced is the same as built he said yes it is the same thing, maybe not? I assumed the tracker was wrong, it shows in production with a date of 8/11. The modules popped on 8/11 and a call on 8/12 to CS told the my Mav was "produced" and gave me the September delivery date.
This is starting to feel like we are in the emerald city, wonder what is happening behind the curtain?
Thank you for the replies

I'm afraid that it sounds like you are in the same situation as many of us with early August production dates...(there is a thread devoted specifically to this issue). Produced is described by others as the second phase of production & unfortunately "not ready to be shipped" & waiting for something. The common denominator that many of us share is the tow hitch even though it is not an official constraint. We are thinking that our trucks were parked in a lot waiting for a hitch or something during those first two weeks of production and once the hitches arrived, priority was given to those trucks that were already on the assembly line or scheduled after mid August for production. As one poster here who has vehicle manufacturing knowledge explained; it's more efficient to keep the line rolling rather than pulling our trucks off of a lot to add a part. So yes, we are stuck in the Emerald City or limbo land until the mysterious, unknown issue behind the curtain is added to our trucks and they can be officially "built" and released to "await shipping". 👍

But also the early August builds have the wifi
My Maverick showing "built" on 8/31 does not have a credit listed on the sticker window for the Hotspot Wi-Fi.

Still wondering if....
