Thank you Robert, I really appreciate you checking. Maybe Ford has a lock of some sort on it.

I can verify that the OBD scanners I have that work on my other vehicles do not work on my 2025 Maverick. Has anyone found one that does work?
Perhaps you need to update? Did you read the link in post #11 on this thread. The 2025 OBD has changed to World Wide.......etc

Hey James,
Thank you sooooo much for pointing that out, and others for posting the information, A case of not being able to see the forest for the trees!!! That is likely the problem. Now I search for a WWH-OBD Bluetooth Scanner

I have searched for a WWH-OBD Bluetooth Dongle. I found Jimmy Hoffa, Sasquatch, Loc Ness Monster, 10mm Socket, Waldo, Ark of the Covenant, but no sign of a WWH-OBD Bluetooth Dongle.
WTH?

From ISO…
ISO 27145-4:2016 defines the requirements to successfully establish, maintain and terminate communication with a vehicle that implements the requirements of the WWH-OBD GTR (Global technical regulation). This requires plug and play communication capabilities for the vehicle, as well as for any test equipment that intends to establish communication with a vehicle. This part of ISO 27145 details all the OSI layer requirements to achieve this goal.
ISO 27145-4:2016 is intended to become the single communication standard for access to information relating to vehicle on-board diagnostics (VOBD). To allow for a smooth migration from the existing communication standards to this future world-wide standardized communication standard, the communication concept as specified in this part of ISO 27145 is based on two different data links:
- diagnostic communication over Controller Area Network (DoCAN), ISO 15765-4;
- diagnostic communication over Internet Protocol (DolP), ISO 13400 (all parts).

I am going to try this one when it arrives Saturday. Updates coming…

Hi Ronald,
I‘m also having trouble connecting to the OBDII port successfully.
When I plug in either of my Bluetooth OBDII scanners in an effort to Bluetooth the RPM to my Android phone and use with the DragFX or RevHeadz engine sound apps to send the real-time RPM motor sounds to the sound system through a “C-type" cable.
Facts:
- The “C-type" cable connection from the Android phone to the sound system functions as I am able to use the DragFX or RevHeadz engine sound apps successfully without receiving the real-time RPM from the OBDII port.
- When I connect the diagnostic scanner that I successfully use in my older vehicles, it can’t connect to the Maverick. I checked the scanner manufacturer’s site and discovered I need to download an update but haven‘t yet.
- The OBDII scanner power light comes on when plugged into the OBDII port and connects to the Android phone as the RevHeadz app begins to connect but ends in a message of failure to connect. The DragFX shows no sign of connecting.
If you have a OBDII scanner and would be willing to try it on your Maverick that would be incredible.
There are many YouTube instruction videos.
Mystery unsolved, suggestions welcomed.

I tried a few Obd scanners without success. Bought this one off of Amazon and it connects. It is supposed to have two way communication which I really haven't tested. It does connect and seems to do what it says. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DP8PH63Q?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
