Not seeing Mavericks in the wild... why not? How about your community?

I had never seen one even at a dealer and then friday Feb 11 I saw 2 within 3 minutes of each other. An A51 Lariat 2.0 pulled into a Hardees and then less than 2 miles away I saw a Carbonized Gray which really looked nice.

Given the numbers produced it makes sense that they're still tough to spot. Plus we're looking for them. When you stop looking for them is when you start seeing them.

But I will say this, they definitely get attention when you have them. Had a lot of people ask me about it when they realize I have a Maverick. So people know of them and are curious and probably trying to see this new compact truck hybrid.

And the mileage is one of the big questions. They want a truck but can't afford it and can't afford the gas for it. But the maverick definitely opened up an avenue to a truck they never thought possible and want it.

Saw my first one in the wild this week in Toms River, New Jersey at a Wendy’s. Iconic silver, hybrid XL base model. Didn’t even have a bedliner yet. Shot the breeze with the owner for about 20 minutes. He loves it, had 1,200 miles in only two weeks. He let me sit in it. Has a lot more room in it than you would think.

Ford has nailed it and hopefully opened the gates for competition and other Ford options and or special models.

Finally!! Living in Southern California, not only I’ve spotted an other Maverick!! The FX4 Alto blue trim was parked at my employee parking lot!! I’ve parked next to it in my Velocity Blue XL trim. Interesting, My stock tires made my Maverick a bit taller then the FX4 model !!

Parking on the line like that is just asking for a door ding.

I’ve seen a total of 4 in person - one on a dealer lot, one in town, and two in passing on the road. About 60k people in our county, but I haven’t seen any in the larger neighboring county.

When I picked up my hybrid on February 1, the dealer told me it was the first hybrid they had seen or sold. I have only seen three Mavs in the wild, no other hybrids at all. One of those was tricked out as a work truck already. The two times anyone spoke to me about mine they had thought the Maverick wasn't available yet.

I have only seen two in the wild and that was leaving the dealership after they took delivery. 1 an Ecoboost the other a Hybrid, both going to other communities. To my knowledge I have the only Maverick in the area. They do have a few more that have ordered that will take delivery at some point this year. My local dealer only ordered like 8 or 9 of them total.

I've seen two
One around 5am heading to work. I could only tell it was a Maverick by the offset drive-out dealer tag as it was completely dark out.
The other I saw at a Dealer in Lithia Springs (Ga). The dealer was closed so I couldn't open it up but I did spend about 30 minutes checking out the outside.

Finally saw one on the road,going down the highway. Otherwise I'd only seen a couple on lots.

They'll sneak up on you when you least expect it! Saw one coming at me in the Walmart parking lot in Winchester VA this weekend. It was dark just saw the head lights, then as it went by, I was like theres one!!! Another time on the road coming home unexpectedly. saw a few on dealers lots over the past months, and actualy drove a Alto blue Fx-4 in November. Still waiting for my build.

One A51 in the small town (Pop. 1200) where I live in SE Missouri. Was purchased from the same dealership I have mine ordered from. Only Maverick I have ever seen in person. The small dealer only has about 15 orders total, mine being 5th in line and the first in line w/Ecoboost.

Saw my first Maverick - a cactus grey on Rt 59/Perkins/ MLK in Akron yesterday. It was heading westbound while I was headed east so I only saw if for a moment.
