Hi Y'all - a question. Bought a 2025 2.5L Hybrid Maverick in the dessert Sand color and LOVE her. Named her Glory. She was nice and quiet the first couple weeks but as it got cold very fast here in the Mitten ( How appropriately named is Michigan - a literal cold weather apparel item) she seems to be noisy at times, especially in the lower cold temps. Just wondering if you have experienced the same think or if I should be worried. I just came out of a Lemon so Im paranoid... Thanks and loving this club so far. My Girl is AWESOME!

Seems to be a normal thing. I have noticed the same with my 2.0 EcoBoost. Loud exhaust note. Why that is I am not sure. Goes away as engine warms up.

Just bought a Lariat 2.5 Hybrid and live in Mi.. It is also a little louder when it's been colder.

So here in Florida we have a very different idea of what "cold" means than a lot of the rest of the country...however, we had a cool snap recently and when my wife got in the truck after I backed it out of the garage, she made mention of how much louder the truck sounded in the cooler weather. So I have the Ecoboost and my cold is very different than your cold but I suspect this "louder when colder" is likely normal.

Indeed, it seems to make more noise in the cold. I've also noticed that if you try to drive it before it comes off of high idle the acceleration feels uneven and weird. I just use the remote start to let it warm up a little before I walk outside. Takes only a minute in warm weather and 3-5 in the cold.

We've had some temps in the teens in Upstate NY. Yes, every engine I've had is always louder when everything is cold. Remote start seems to cure that pretty well. Just sayin'

Normal. Every vehicle I've ever owned has been louder in the cold, or louder until the engine warms up.

Squeaking plastics in the interior are more common in the cold because the plastic microscopically shrinks, so the gaps between panels get a little larger. This allows the panel edges to chafe more than normal.

Same here, live in Michigan, I noticed the same thing, 2025 XLT Hybrid, It seems to got noisier with cold weather. Let face this weather been COLD so far this December. The other thing is that when it is in electric mode it is so Quiet you really notice all the noises with engine running.

I had a 2022 Eco boost and traded for a 2025 hybrid. And never noticed much of a difference in the Eco but they hybrid engine sounds awful after starting, a grinding noise like there is no oil at time. Does not sound right to me...

Record it and post it. But no, should not be any "scary" sounds.
