Fact is Ford should have rolled these orders over, but instead they decided to do it this way and put the onus on a dealer network that sucks at best. Ford is to blame because if they can figure out how to do it for those that have 22 orders now that won't be built they should have done it with all of them. If the thinking was there are many orders out there that maybe the customer no longer wants them. Then have the dealers call and confirm the order, but not force everyone to resubmit a new order. Ford is so full of horse shit!

NO Maverick FOR ME. I ordered Maverick last October, Hybrid, Lariat, white, LUX, 360 with a $500 deposit. Stopped at the dealer, VIC BAILEY Ford, Spartanburg SC, six weeks ago and was told if the truck had to be rolled over as a 23 model year the dealership would do it automatically. I did not have to do anything. When the order bank opened for the 23's I did nothing as instructed. Two weeks I called Ford directly. Ford rep told me there was a four-digit number missing from the order that had to be entered by dealer. I contacted the dealer by phone and no one ever called me back. I always had to contact them (shitty service). I finally was able to talk to a senior manager, James, (he never called back either). I was asked why I had not responded to Ford's email with instructions on rolling over to a 23. I never received any such email! Three days after the date he said he would call I reached out to him. James said that the order was not going to be fulfilled. He did not know where the error occurred (of course). James did offer an option. Next year when order banks open I can order a 24model year Maverick. Yes, that was the only option. My reply was to return my deposit. I will never buy a Ford vehicle nor buy from Vic Bailey, including their other dealerships.
I own a 2014 Honda CR-V with 53k miles. It runs great. I'm changing the original tires and performing a few other maintenance items and keeping for a while. What a shitty experience with Ford and Vic Bailey Ford.
I had a 2012 Honda CR-V with 132,000 miles which is going to college with my granddaughter🤗🤗!

I'm glad they didn't roll over orders. There are likely plenty of orders people no longer want that would have been rolled over that aren't this way. There are things that could have been done to ensure the consumers were informed, I agree with that. But in today's day and age it's too easy to stay informed as a consumer. I imagine the cases of people who really strongly wanted a Maverick but missed reorder is proportionally very low vs old orders that were unwanted and purged.

I would find a different dealer & make sure they communicate with you, it's possible order banks will reopen for 23 models in the near future, once they get all 22's & rollovers out of the way.

Zero orders should have been been cancelled unless they were confirmed to be no longer wanted. I was told by the dealer the order would be automatically rolled over.

Again sorry this happened to you, but I disagree. You are entitled to youe opinion of course. But there were surely plenty of "zombie orders" that would further bog down builds and only serve to give dealers ADM.

You have access to this forum. You have been a member since February, and been active. The dealer screwed you, but you also didn't take the steps of confirming the steps were taken. While I have sympathy, it is checked by the fact that the parameters were known you just didn't follow them...

That sucks !! I too never received ANYTHING from Ford but my conformation 10/20/21 no emails .no updates, no $100 gift card, no instructions on reorder, no private offer email etc. and I have been a ford customer over 40 years and 30 plus cars/trucks. the PR from FORD is ZERO, No customer service, even when I called them at the end of each month , they had different answers and NO CLUE. I bitched at least 10 times on line- on the phone and in letter and in person to my dealer ( 8 times) they were nice but CLUELESS too!! and they have 8-10 stores!! I was able to REORDER ( and no help from ford or the dealer) I had to call and get my private offer, I had to go to the dealer and reorder, so on 10/15/22 at 10pm I got a conformation email from ford. so we WAIT again, if it was not for the price, and the hybrid mileage, and great size little truck, I would no longer be a ford customer, sad Im 67 and use to "customer service" but that seems in the past, and that goes for lots of company's now. we see if we ever get it .

GREAT reply, see my comment up a few under mrbill- I was told more than once by my dealer that ,They , if we did not get a 22 ,they would be reordered ,and we would be first in line, and all I had to do was tell them yes, ,and do nothing else. but THAT BEVER HAPPENED! I had to make a lot of phone calls-emails-and vists, to make sure it got reordered. a total screw up. on Ford and dealers. and this is my 30 plus ford. , maybe no longer.

Man, there's a post from you on September 14 where you said you talked to Ford and had to reorder? Why are you complaining if you didn't?

Except for the 22 orders that were cancelled, i see no chance of the 23 order banks reopening.
They have at least 10 months of trucks to build with the 86,000 orders taken in september and they have not scheduled any of them yet. Plus another few thousand 22 orders that are rolling into that number as well.

I did reorder, but if it was not for ME doing all the running around, making sure it was done, between ford and the dealer, it would not have been, customer service on both ford and dealer is ZERO now days, nothing like when I ordered from them in 80's-90's and early 2000's thnaks god I keep bugging them both ford customer service and the dealer, as I have never received anything from ford but the 1st order conformation email on Both days of order, so at least I know its ordered, again.

that's right, and that is what my dealer said all along, month after month, then the last week before sept.15th 2022 they said , well you have to reorder, and we will "try" to get it in, they did , get it re ordred, but No thanks to them or Ford, I found more out from this "maverick site" and had to bug them all along.

If Ford runs out of buyers, then that means no buyers exist. They do sell the #1 selling truck for the past 40 or so years, in addition to the Mustang and Transit (among other models)
Not to bust any bubbles, but doesn't Ford count the entire "F" line of trucks to claim the #1 seller of trucks?
