Never finalized Maverick order, Ford built it anyway.

Just got a call from my dealer. I did the online reservation thing last year but never followed through with the order. It seems Ford built my Maverick anyway and they wanted to know if I still wanted it. So it looks like I'm trading in my 2021 Honda Accord for this Maverick Lariat.

Ford built the truck that your dealer put into the system. Your reservation entry was nothing more than a marketing lead to the dealer. The information entered there is not automatically put into the order system.

Yes, all of us out here are paranoid now. Ford and their stealerships have engrained that in our nature from jacking us around.

I literally never set foot in the dealer until yesterday after I did the "order" online sometime last year. I don't remember when.

I now wish I kept the original order confirmation email to see if this is indeed what I ordered. Other than the color, I don't remember what I ordered.

Other than the stupid admin fee, they sold this at sticker. Unless the sticker has a markup built into it, that isn't itemized.
