I ordered my Maverick Lariat on November 13th and at the time was told by the dealer that I would have it in 16 weeks. My truck was finally built on June 16th. I called the Ford 800 number and was told to expect delivery by July 21st. The delivery date was then updated to July 6th, then changed to July 11th. I just called Ford this morning and now it is changed to July 16th. It has been sitting in Chicago Heights since June 22nd waiting to be shipped to my dealership which is a 2 1/2 hour drive from Chicago Heights. The system is broken.

You looking for sympathy? You got a Maverick enroute with a Novenber order. Looks like soon to be maybe 20K unfulfilled orders for 22.

This has nothing to do with Ford and everything (most likely) to do with the lack of available truckers to transport vehicles. This is a known issue. Just be thankful you have one coming to you sooner vs later. I might see my October 21 order by October 22.

20k? Based on what? I'd bet it is less that 10k when the dust settles. VINs are being issued in 95xxx range now and best guesstimate for total orders I could come up with previously was about 106k range. Hybrids and people refusing to remove heavy constraint items will be the outliers IMO. Ford said it would still build some dealer stock units with no constraints at the end of production run and wouldn't announce that if they had 10''s of thousands of customer ordered units outstanding with no issues preventing scheduling and producing a majority of them. We'll know for sure by early August.

The waits are long but honestly your experience is better than most. Mine (ordered in August) is in the same status as yours, sitting in a rail yard since 6/20. Many ordered before you and don't have a built truck.

It's surprising the dealer was giving 16 week estimates as late as November. By then it was pretty clear that chip and supply chain issues were significantly lengthening the process.

Outlier? Hybrid orders are roughly 40% of Maverick supply not including the constrained orders.

Just to let you know you are not alone. I ordered my truck a basic XLT with co-pilot 360 back in June 14 2021. It was finally built May 25 2022 and shipped May 27 2022. The truck finally arrived in Kansas City on June 10 2022. After being delayed several times Ford now says my truck is to arrive at my dealer July 8 to July 11 I will believe that when I can see my truck, I live in Saint Joseph MO. and my dealer is in Savannah Mo. just 50 to 70 miles from Kansas City. So I wish you all the luck in getting your truck.

Yeah, ordered my Lariat Hybrid back on 7/26/21 & still waiting - I'm told it is in Production as of 7/7/22. Still don't have an eta.

Dear Ford: Please set up a system to allow built trucks to be picked up by buyers as they exit your plant, for those of us that want to take ownership this way. It wil: allow you to book a sale faster, increase production Play moving many more units out the door per unit of Time and lastly and most importantly satisfy those customers willing to pick it up in person rather than waiting one or two or three months due to supply chain and trucker issues. For crying out loud you would think that this would have been implemented a long time ago.
