We picked up our Hybrid XLT "Paddy Wagon" on St. Paddy's Day last year. Currently 16,000 miles and we still LOVE this truck. And that's saying a lot because we've had the airbag recall and the grabby brake TSB done, and have been waiting since February for the exhaust system replacement to happen ... but the last part needed for that has still not arrived ... and our inspection ran out at the end of March and the part is at least a month away.

Ford service gave us a letter to keep in the glove compartment saying that we have done all we can to get it inspected and are waiting on a part, but that the truck is safe to drive in the meantime. (They can't actually give it a new inspection sticker because the Check Engine light comes right back on when they turn it off.) No idea if we'll be stopped and have to pay a fine. Hopefully not, or that the letter will suffice. It's a new vehicle and it runs fine; it's just waiting for the new exhaust system. But we do truly LOVE driving around in it!! We find it comfortable and useful and easy. Hoping to love it even more soon. 😊

Got mine the end of May 2022 and put almost 17k miles on it. Did two oil changes so far. Had "fire" recall done but not air bag yet. Only 2 small problems in that time. Radio screen froze up twice but was ok when it was restarted and had to replace a tire. Got a tiny nail hole and couldn't patch. Otherwise I LOVE this truck! Averaging 39 mpg since July of last year. A mix of all types of driving. Oh, did I mention I LOVE this truck?!

Had mine for a month now. Went on a mini vacation and it handled the road very well. Love the cruise control. Very comfortable. Have 1500 miles with no issues. Left on my vacation during the time of major winds. Wind so bad I had difficulty opening the door. Needless to say bad time to check out the gas mileage. During the bad headwinds only got 24 mpg. However, winds over by time for return trip home. 38 mpg on return trip. All highway/freeway driving, speeds of 65-80. What little city driving I have done average mpg is 43. Glad I added the paint protection film (PPF) after delivery. Added it to the front end. With spring here and doing freeway speeds, my maverick got bug splatter all over the front end. With the PPF, cleaning the bugs off was a snap. Looks as good a new. No road chips either. Only got one tiny windshield pit, surprising considering the bad winds blowing sand and debris all over my little buddy. Love my Maverick. Worth the 517 day wait!

16 months and 11,000 miles and I have to say the Maverick has performed GREAT! It is all that I need and more! I just saw a Blue Maverick XLT at a local dealership that was marked down to $39,999 from $47,999. Wow! You can get a Nice Ranger for that price. Of course the only Maverick on the lot. Just crazy. The demand is not being met for sure. I must say I am happy that I have the Maverick and hope it performs as well as it has for many years to come.

Hybrid: 2 months, 4K miles. No major problems. Love the mileage and the drivability. Great for highway cruising. Only watch out for me has been the radio - Ford really cheaped out 😕

7,600 Miles, got it on 09/21/2022 absolutely love mine. Sure, has some tiny issues, like the stupid entertainment system freezing once in a while. the center console light turning off 3 times and having to turn it on manually again. the speakers making a clicking sound twice but then coming back to normal. the braking as you know is no majir complain, but takes time to get used to. I love mine, I would totally buy it again. no mechanical issues so far, but again, only 7,600 miles and going up day by day.
Cheers!

Bought mine 8/2/22 and have over 16k trouble free miles. I have not had any recall or TSB service performed. I did have an oil change and tire rotation done. Lifetime 40 mpg with mixed highway and city driving.

My 2022 hybrid built February 2022 has been in the shop for a month after airbag replacement..
More on that on a different post..
I’m starting to feel I made a mistake buying the new generation Maverick.
I get that the forum is a place to gather information, and it has been helpful for me.
But I could use a few positive Maverick experiences.
I have had my XLT for a couple of months and I love it but I sold it back to the dealer.

For about what I paid for it so I could pick up a new Lariat that I ordered a while ago. Today I had to go across town for a quote and and got stuck for almost an hour in some nasty stop and go traffic and my mpg's went UP.

Got my First Edition Hybrid (Area 51) in December, and have 4100+ miles on it now. Zero issues, and absolutely love the Maverick. I've actually got a '23 on order for myself (in Cyber Orange - my favorite color for the Mac) and another '23 for my wife (Cactus Gray - her first choice). Hope at least one of them does come through!

When you get little short trips like this in average city traffic on streets is when you love having the hybrid.

No a/c otherwise probably would've been about 50-60mpg instead.

I love the size, utility, and mileage and will buy another one. That said, I am plagued with having to jump start it every couple of weeks and I have a persistent CEL now (code U3000).

Need to get it to a more competent service department to get things sorted while still in warranty.

About 2 months of ownership and problem free. Has been cold in North East Wisconsin dropping my average MPG to under 36. Seeing MPG ticking up the last few days as weather warms. Fortunately no airbag recall for me… but I did just receive a brake light one
