It’s not hooked up yet. I still need to install the components, rear speakers, run wiring and then the amp rack. I also need to find time between work, kids sports and my wife having me redo rooms in my house 😂😂
Oh darn, I have an idea of how that goes, it means you might be delayed for a while.

I was talking to someone on a audio forum that did a nice system on a maverick that used a dsp. I was asking him a few questions and he recommended a JL fix86 which also flattens the signal but then I would need a dsp to adjust the signal. He said if I never messed with a dsp before it’s not as easy as some people say and could take hours of adjustments. I also had someone mention the RF dsr1 but then there are so many mixed reviews about them lol. At this point I’m just looking for something that’s simple so I can get this stereo going lol. Still have to do all the speakers, wiring and amp rack but have limited time lol.
The fix86 basically does the same thing as the kicker Key LOC. If I were you, I would get the kicker key LOC, because that will flatten the signal and take care of the Line Output Converter in one go. If you find down the road that you want a bit more, then you can go down the full DSP route. You're correct about the mixed reviews on the DSR1. The people that it works for, it works wonderfully. The people that have issues, just can't seem to get past them. Most of those issues revolve around the bluetooth not connecting. Mine works for me pretty well. I'm a set it and forget it type of guy, so once I get it dialed, then I'm done playing with it. The DSP is a setup thing, and not something you play with often after the initial install. Of course, people with a lot of money to throw at these things will tell you no DSP under a grand is any good, lol. I don't not fall into that camp.

Not really but here’s some numbers off the top of my head. The amps, sub and 0 gauge wiring I had.

2 small sheets of 1/2” mdf $50ish
Loopback harness $185
6.5” components $160
4” rear spekers $90
Sound deadening $50
In line power fuse $20
Leather upholstery $15
HF router $40
Router bits $20
HF staple gun $20
Wood glue $20

I think that might be it. I have a table saw, compressor and a bunch of other tools that I used. I still need to get a LOC, rcas and I’m sure a few other things. I’m still debating about getting some 4 gauge power wire and ditching my older 0 gauge but we’ll see.
Have you gotten it all hooked up yet? I think I ordered those same 4" Morel's and hope to have them installed this week. Crutchfield says they don't fit, but I think I've seen several people say they have used them. Curious on your experience.

No I didn’t lol. Hoping to get started back on my stereo soon. Kids sports plus it being so hot out put a nice pause to it but now the weather is cooler I’m trying to get everything installed.

Slow process is better then no process I guess lol. Finally got around to getting the amp rack done. Might add one more brace to the left side and still have to sound deaden behind it but just wanted to mount it to see what it looked like. Next up is running the power, loopback harness and install speakers. Here’s some pics of the amp rack.

That's nice and tidy there. I like the way you made brackets to mount it using existing bolts.

now for the box. This is my first box that I ever built. My 10” sundown called for .5 cu ft so in order to get the right volume I had to use 1/2” mdf.

had to cut out all the sides and the bottom of the plastic bin in Oder for the box to fit.

Now for the top trim piece to finish everything off. This is all 1/2” mdf

Great build! Did you get this buttoned up? I have the same sub from a previous truck too. Is the box .5 cube empty, or did you take the volume the sub uses in consideration?
