My review after 144 miles:

Cons:

I can’t seem to get my USB for the entertainment center to work. I discovered that I had a formatting error when I transferred my music, but I seemed to have fixed it, but I still can’t leave it in the slot and have it pick up where it left off. Sometimes it works and sometimes it removes it from the screen and I have to shut down the truck, turn the key off, open the door to reset everything then remove the usb. Then start all over again. The problem with that is it doesn’t begin where I left off. I’ll figure it out, or maybe there is an update that needs to be done. I just don’t know and frankly right now I’m tired of thinking about it.

The entertainment screen shows every little fingerprint. However, I have stored a cloth in the cubby next to it and that solves that problem.

I don’t like the Auto Hold feature. It seems to jerk the car when I push the petal for gas. I’ve disabled that.

That is all for now. I haven’t actually had it long enough to see if there are any more dislikes.

Pros:

I had concerns about the quality of the radio and that was put to rest. I find the sound is just fine for me and my ears. I won’t be upgrading my speakers. The sound is even better than my Escape.

I love the Auto High beams. I’ve never had a vehicle with this feature before.

I like the storage under the rear seat. I don’t have young children needing car seats so the back seat will remain pretty much vacant so access to the back seat will be used many times.

I’ve had the Collision alert go on last night. It was when a Semi was approaching me and it had many lights on and 2 cars behind it as well. I’m not sure why it went off but it scared the bejesus out of me. It was in its lane and I was in mine. I didn’t like that I had to take my eyes off the road to read the screen as to why buzzers and lights were flashing. I still don’t know why except, maybe all the headlights? At least I know it works

I like the blind side indicators in the side mirrors. Very helpful. I haven’t activated the lane assist so I can’t speak of that.

I bought the Motorola wireless dongle, but frankly I’m not sure I need it, but time will tell. I don’t drive far on a daily basis so it may be just as easy for me to plug my phone in when I need Android Auto. I used it when I couldn’t get my USB music to work and liked it so it does its job.

Cyber Orange is a great color. It is more orange than yellow. It is more orange than the road paint on the road. It looks yellow when it is by itself, but next to yellow things you can see more orange. The name is not what I would have called it. Maybe Orange Pepper Orange.:ROFLMAO:

After the 144 miles, I have 42.8 MPG. My last trip was 25 min. long, 13.4 miles in length, my MPG was 49.4 MPG and 6.4 miles in Electric. Yahoo!

That’s all I have for now. I love the thing. You will too.

I enjoyed your review, I am at 44.9 mpg with just under 1,000 miles. I recently tried the sport mode and now I love my Maverick. What a difference! I will remain in normal most of the time but it’s nice to know it has lots of power if I need it.

I haven't tried sport yet. Will have to give it a go myself.

Collision alert goes off at inappropriate times for me as well. Can be exact same scenario 10 times and it'll go 1 of those times. None of them warranted. Still, I'd rather have it than be without. Maybe it'll get smarter with age (unlike myself).

In my Chevy the collision alert goes off at weird times, and all of the alerts so far were not needed. Luckily I can disable it if I wanted.

I don't know if it will work for the Maverick, but I dealt with the same issue on my Santa Cruz. I had to adjust my approach to take off to solve the problem. Pushing down the go pedal in a normal fashion makes the car jerk, but if you give it a very light push and briefly let up (releasing the hold) before pushing down as normal the jerk doesn't occur. It's a little awkward at first, but it doesn't take long to become a natural habit.

Short trips are where I really like the wireless AA with my MA-1. Hopping in/out without plugging in is nice. On longer trips I'll often plug in and use wired AA since I'll plug in anyway and then I can use the in-truck WiFi for my data connection.

I should also add to my review that I really like the interior. Maybe my standards for a vehicle are low, but I dont find it "cheap" looking. I like the orange accents, and so do others that have seen it.
I like the dial shifter too. In my opinion it makes the interior feel more open. The only thing that is weird is where to put my hand. The center console seems too far back and putting my hand on my right thigh seems awkward too.

Maybe try a new USB drive? I haven't had that issue with mine..... Sometimes it won't restart the USB audio when I first start the truck (the audio is off), but I just have to re-choose USB and it picks up right where it left off.

I did try a different one, but the same brand. I have one on order that has more GB and a different brand, so I'll try that when I get it.

I have had the same issue as Kev, if I am listening to the usb. I get back in the truck and notice the audio is off. Like he says, turn it on and I am back where I left off.

Orange Pepper Orange would have made me think it was even more orange than Cyber Orange, because you've got "orange" in there twice. I love the School Bus Yellow but would have preferred the color they showed on all their websites' sales material.

For a 2 week period, I got 50.1 mpg and 600+ miles to the tank. Just as you do, I love it!

I've never had the audio off. The USB is not recognized period. When I select audio my only options are AM, FM, and my phone. I can unplug the drive, reinsert it and nothing. Also the Drive has a light on it and when it isn't recognized the light is dead also. I'll wait for my new drive and see what happens.

I get you. I was trying to find something that more resembled the actual color. The orange accents in the XLT is more orange than the exterior color.
I can't wait to get your mileage. That would be awesome.
