All jokes aside, the camera footage was indispensable and undisputable in this case. Certainly brings immediate closure to the "who done it" that usually happens in these scenarios.

Dash cameras are indepenseable all our vehicles have them highly recommended them

You reminded me of another upgrade I need to tell the insurance company about. I had lasfit side markers... Well on the right side. Left I could never get my hand into!

If you look at the owners manual you will see how to remove the side marker lights for bulb replacement. It was much easier than one might expect.

I remember a few years ago during a holiday, I allowed my friends relatives to stay at my house for free while my family was out of town on vacation.

I didn't know I was a generous as I was, but evidently I was. I was left a thank you note telling me how much the relatives enjoyed driving my vehicle around town.

I'm glad I didn't come back to a totaled vehicle... and I'm more generous than I realized.

From my observations, looks like the brother in law "borrowed" the truck instead of driving the older van. Then pulled in front of oncoming traffic turning left.

I don't know about the State this happened in, but in TN the Maverick owner is hosed. The owner is responsible. If the other people is seriously hurt, they could sue him for everything he has and then some.

I have been telling myself that if my Mav ever gets totalled, I'd buy it as a salvage and fix it up.

My brother-in-law was house-sitting for me while I'm on vacation and this happened to my 4 month old XLT hybrid.

I don't think there's any fixing that up.

One and the same. I asked my bro-in-law if he was using the ACC at the time. He wasn't. I wonder if it would have helped if he was.

That's not the way insurance works unless you pay for full replacement rider.

Well if they look at the cost for a used Maverick then he'll get back thousands more than what he paid for it.

Good to hear you made it okay. Sharing all these Maverick wrecks is making me think they are a target. That or I just never read a forum for one of my other cars that reported wrecks. Good luck sorting out your situation.
