I would agree. If it was going to get totaled, at least let it be while the poor soul who waited forever to get it was driving. But then that means YOU were in a serious accident. Hmmm, wait a minute....

That's not the way insurance works unless you pay for full replacement rider.

I gave up explaining insurance to people. Love people who buy minimum coverage and expect premium coverage.

I would be interested to know what insurance offers too. The 2024 went up a lot in price,. . Plus no vehicle for a LONG time .

The insurance company doesn't care that the '24 went up in price. They pay out the value of what you have, not replacement value.

I have been telling myself that if my Mav ever gets totalled, I'd buy it as a salvage and fix it up.

My brother-in-law was house-sitting for me while I'm on vacation and this happened to my 4 month old XLT hybrid.

I don't think there's any fixing that up.

Was it as bad as the pictures look? I haven't seen any of the other car.

It got hammered pretty good, I was apparently following the flatbed, and was stopped ✋️ in traffic as the tow truck had to whip around. I didn't the accident happen, but there was a hard hit.
