I would check mine, but it is raining at the moment.

In summer, I usually leave my sunroof cracked open. There hasn't been any issues with doing so on the Maverick, but is that something that people do with the Maverick?

My Toyota Avalon never let in any water when it's left cracked open. Maybe following this routine is not advisable on the Maverick?

Yet another concerning issue with the Maverick. Mold really sucks, not to mention that moisture in the cabin can degrade the electronics.

Have you checked the caulking along the seam up under the dash. You will have to move the mat back out of the way to see it. If it is damaged it will leak at these seams. Had a ranger do this and used silicone to seal and water stopped getting in. Just a thought.

Have an appointment for this now next week after I noticed it was wet under my passenger hard floor mat and mold started growing. The service writer at the dealer tried making it seem like this was my fault by implying I probably drove through a deep puddle.

I see this and the loose engine cowl, anything else I should tell them? They said it wont be covered under warranty if it came from driving in the rain vs rain getting in somewhere up top which I think is BS.

Built jan 2023, keep it in the garage so I never noticed until driving while raining 1.5 weeks ago. No clue if it only gets wet when driving or if parking outside in rain would cause it too.

So... They have chosen litigation then.

Show them these threads. It's not a driver thing.

If they try to charge you, find another dealer/shop to honor the warranty. I'd say good luck, but I don't think it will help in this situation. This seems to be a pretty major ball drop.

But stand your ground either way.

Dealer can't find anything but said they can keep it overnight to see if they can see tomorrow. Guess I have to wait and see, will probably sell if they can't so I don't have to deal with corrosion and mold.

Same here. Been to the dealer three times for multiple days at a time and they've found nothing. Praying for a recall at this point or I'll sell early.

Shame, I absolutely love the truck.

I've been refreshing the gps on fordpass and it's just been sitting in their back storage lot so not getting my hopes up.

*Two full days without moving now, what is the point in making an appointment 10 days out only for it to sit untouched after.

I would say it's possible to have a windshield that was not sealed properly, or moisture from the A/C is being trapped inside somehow. I don't know where the 'door' is to change the cabin air filter, but that could let rain in too, if it's not snapped tight.
The cabin air filter gets changed by pulling out the glove box. It’s behind there.
