2023 Maverick is still intended to have the hotspot feature, still with a Required Option for the feature delete until it becomes available.

Thank you. The vehicle dashboard (on the website) for my VIN shows I should have a hotspot. The vehicle itself doesn't seem to think I have one. The FordPass app doesn't seem to think I have one.

I probably won't use it much, but it would really come in handy this week.

That's interesting, I wonder why the removal credit and line item are missing from my '23 window sticker and the Ford site has "Ineligible, Wi-Fi Hotspot Not Supported".

Is there a sticker on the car that shows the options as built? Might differ from the sticker.

The wi-fi hotspot capability is not free and is a different service than the FordPass app.

If your vehicle is equipped with the feature then you have to sign in to your Ford account and sign up for the service. It uses AT&T's cellular network and starts at $20/month. If you are interested in signing up here is the link.

The first 3 months are free with no credit card required. I understand that I have to sign up for it-- I'm not able to get to that point. I'm beginning to believe I don't actually have a hotspot, even though there is not a hotspot delete on my sticker.

I did try your link (previously I'd only tried what was provided by Ford) and after putting in my VIN it says I am eligible for 3 months for free with my VIN. Because I'm not able to activate or see it at all (while signed into my Ford account and according to Ford's instructions,) I am not going to move forward with anything until I talk to my dealer tomorrow.

When you configure a 2023 Maverick on the website, this is what the 100A package contains:

Ford Maverick My Hotspot seems to be missing on 2023 Maverick 1673380783732

Not sure if that means anything, but they are advertising it with the Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Thank you for that-- you are absolutely right -- just verified. I'll talk to the dealer tomorrow.... the web site says my VIN has a hotspot available but my truck and my Ford Pass app are pretty much insisting it doesn't exist.

With all the people they laid off/retired I wouldn’t be surprised a lot of little details here and there haven’t been updated, maybe fordvideo guy knows?

Hmmm...that is strange. Yeah it's probably best to take it in and see if the dealer can figure it out.

@jsus showed you the answer from the order guide. The option is technically part of the FordPass Connect, but was not available (in early builds at least).

19W 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot Removal is a "Required Option".

What's your VIN, I can try and dig into all of the features for you.

Yes, it’s standard in the package, but you are required to delete it. So you don’t get one!

Probably easier to implement the “delete” option than temporarily changing the package content because that would require changing the package ordering code.

It seems silly, but thats how they roll down at Ford Marketing and Order Processing!
