Advertisement on screen to subscribe to WIFI Hotspot through AT&T??

Is anyone else getting an advertisement flashing on their screen asking them to subscribe to WIFI Hotspot through AT&T??

This happened more than 3 times while driving. Once I was ready to make a left-hand turn when this bright white light flashes on my screen. Quite the distraction. How soon before they are selling Pharmaceuticals on the screen, or Medicare ads, or Camp Lejeune cancer lawyer ads?

If you hit more info, is there an option to disable it? I have a ‘23 so I don’t have a hotspot in my truck and I don’t think I’ll be getting that pop up.

I have a hot spot in my Escape and I've never seen this before. Likely a setting somewhere.

The car can be a wifi hotspot. My 2020 Ford Ecosport can also be a wifi hotspot if you sign up and pay for internet service by AT&T BUT I have never gotten such a message on the Ecosport. My Eco uses AT&T for a believe life for ford Pass to work. For things like remote start or find my car or lock unlock doors with my phone from any distance even out of state. The 2023 Mav no longer offers the hotspot ability but does have internet for Ford Pass to function. This pop up ad is unacceptable to me. . Distracting and potential lawsuit against Ford. That's how i would word it in my complaint to ford and to whatever government agency gets involved with auto safety. Maybe someday I can write this complaint if I ever get a maverick.

I saw the same thing pop up on my screen today. I've also been pestered by some kind of message related to my wifi settings preventing me from getting updates. They can go piss up a rope.

I've seen it most times when I first start up my car, for the last week or so. It disappears quickly, so I was only able to click the Close button yesterday for the first time and haven't seen it since.

I've never seen it. Though I do have Wifi turned off, and have never done any updates.

So I guess when I had the Mav in a while ago to have one of the modules replaced, they reset everything and wifi was turned back on. I turned it off again, so let's see if I keep getting the messages.
